Nice! iPhone 7 still a great phone in 2024, I wish I had more older phones to review, but I did have a 7 plus back in the day I loved it . Used it for like 2-3 years.
Wow that’s awesome, iOS 13 still working good! I ran into some problems with older iPad mini 2 and three , the latest version of iOS is 12.5.7 so a lot of apps can’t be used or updated but I’d say the best use for those minis is being able to still use RUclips! I sure do love old apple products they are fun to make videos on to see how well they’ve held up over the years. I’d say iPhone 6s sure did age well and it’s still a good device to use!
@@EJGT0706 yea that bloated os is over clocking the system i don’t really do updates unless theres an actual issue with the system or os and at that point i still don’t really update them if i want to keep it and have it still be usable i will just upgrade to a newer device at that point
For 30$!? Absolutely! I'd take this for my parents or grandparents who don't care about anything else other than phone calls and youtube occasionally. Great phone!
Yup! It’s a great backup phone and or for someone who doesn’t care about all the fancy new features and stuff. It’s makes calls , text, watch RUclips , download apps still and it does it pretty well for how old the phone is.
Damn, 9 years and this phone is still running very smoothly games are little lag but it’s not unbearable. However battery life is really bad, at 4:35 92% to 56% for only 33 mins?
Yeah battery is kinda bad now haha. My mom got this iPhone 6s with 88% battery capacity last year in April 2023, she used it for calls and RUclips for like half a year which degraded the battery capacity from 88% to 73% . IMO the phone held up really well for her, and for how old the phone is the battery held up nice in 2024. It would be nice to have a new battery in this phone tho!
@LonerWarrior not sure it depends on the current battery capacity and what the user does with the phone. I would say that a new battery would get like up to 4 hours. This iPhone can last me all day if I just use it for short calls and text. What drains the battery fast is having the screen on max brightness, playing games, and watching RUclips the phone will last like 1 hours haha.
I decided to put my 6s plus to rest last year and sold it bc it was heating so bad, battery drain and few stutters. If it wouldn't for those, I would still be using that. I'm on XS Max now and life is good.
I’m suprised at how well the 6s and 6s plus has held up over the years. From the camera to being on iOS 15 , it’s still a pretty solid device if the battery is in good condition. I recently sold my 6s aswell but if it have a nice battery I’d probably keep it . The iPhone 6s is around 9 years old and it’s amazing how it still gets security updates in 2024 and app support. I’m not sure how long it will be until apps stop supporting devices on iOS 15 but for now it’s definitely usable and In my opinion a great budget/back up device considering you can get it pretty cheap nowadays. Thanks for watching my video and commenting I appreciate your feedback and I look forward to making more videos regarding old iPhones .
@@Allthingslife30 True. The camera was still good the last time I had it despite struggling in low light. I changed the battery twice but it just won't do anything much. Oh about security updates, yes I'm impressed by how long Apple supports their devices. My old 2018 android stopped receiving security updates since 2020 and not even a major android update is received so all the apps are no longer usable. For apps, I think they will be supported for at least another 5 years as some apps still support ios 12 and most games still support ios 12 too. Sure, you're welcome. Keep doing what you doing bc you're doing just great!
@ean1989tv yeah the 6s is a beast overall still. And thanks again . I will be making some videos on iPhone 7 soon and maybe the iPhone X Series if I can get one for cheap. Stay tuned!!🤙🤙
If anything you should probably get the iPhone 8 Plus, you get a decent battery life that you can probably upgrade, Get IOS 16 and actually have a big enough phone with that home button, I think it’s the best old device to get, it’s what I want to get
Yeah crazy thing is iPhone 8 Plus is still like $100 plus and you might be able to talk someone down to like $70 or 80. I recently bought an iPhone XR for $80 bucks so I think going for XR would be even better cuz it has iOS 18
@@Allthingslife30 Could a battery upgrade help with the battery life on the phone? I want the phone though I know it does have not so good battery life, if you were to upgrade then how much would it cost and would it even help? I would upgrade it to like 3,200 mah like the iPhone 14
Yeah it’s amazing like a near 10 year phone still preforming well. iOS 15 on iPhone 6s is nice! However the battery life and screen burning can be a bit bad but for the price tag I’d say it’s worth using if you’re on a budget and in need of a quick replacement device!
Yeah I miss mine already I sold it. It’s surprisingly responsive and if you have a good battery it’s even better. I still love the camera it’s simplicity is what made it age well it’s best camera setting imo is the 1080p 60fps but it also has 4K at 30fps. iPhone 6s running iOS 15 it’s still very good.
Umm I’m not too sure but the way it looks I feel like the iPhone 6s will probably have like 2-3 years of supported apps cuz I can pretty much download and use any app still on the App Store. This phone is quite good considering it’s almost 10 years old and it still preforms quick and fast actions.
It’s depends on how long ios 15 can support those applications. I’m not sure how long that will be but you should be good for a few years I think. As it how long this phone has been supported it’s 9 years!
What’s your battery health percentage? I would recommend getting it replaced if it goes below 80% and or if your phone is becoming hot and noticeably slower
Maybe idk I don’t know your daily usage habits, but if you’re doing super intensive things like gaming and editing maybe the iPhone 6s just isn’t a good option for that. IMO the iPhone 6s is good for light social media use, phone calls and text, emails, and taking pictures and videos .its a 9 year old phone so even though it still can work well doesn’t mean it can handle intense usage .
been using iphone 7 for many years now, still does all you need today. Supports rather new iOS so was never locked out of any app
Nice! iPhone 7 still a great phone in 2024, I wish I had more older phones to review, but I did have a 7 plus back in the day I loved it . Used it for like 2-3 years.
I personally love the older iOS versions I am still happily using an iPad Air three on iOS 13.4 not missing anything on the new versions

Hi. Im currently using my iPad Air 3 on iOS 18. Hardly feels different, but doesn’t run as good.

It’s time to upgrade I had the 11 pro max but just recently got the 15 pro it was a gift from my sister 💕
