Or put Ford Mach E motors in it turn up the power also the E motors don`t have the diff on the side thus a smaller motor thus a custom battery box could be made same as it`s contents aka 18650s go for the worlds 1st P100D Model 3....

And calling V8 is slower - is like calling Joe Biden a good president. definitely not slower than any regular tesla or any regular ev. Especially when car has less weight.
@@sesamstraathooligan9587 not saying the VW scandal "affects" this. Just a tangential comment on diesel, as much as the model 3 body oddly sitting on a diesel 'monster truck frame'...
I was going to say the same, but I think the point of this car is not to even be fast, just obnoxious. And what is the biggest antithesis to a silent electric car? A loud ass Cummins tractor engine. The VW would likely be too tame to really get the point across. As they said, it’s about noticing and making a statement. I originally thought a 98-99 mercedes diésel would be great, but again way too tame to really make a statement.
The real calculation is how much rainforest in Asia was cut down and how much diesel was burned to mine the nickel and lithium for the batteries. Batteries are very CO2 intensive to create. In fairness, while a Tesla (and any battery powered vehicle) is significantly more CO2 intensive to manufacture, they are net CO2 winners vs. fossil fuels over the course of their lives. Be that as it may, electric is not the pure environmental savior they are made out to be. That and America does not have nearly enough grid capacity to handle widespread rapid EV adoption.
@@craighoffman8160 Volvo did a research about electric cars vs. ICE cars. Electric car needs to drive 70k kilometers to be clean, when ICE car makes 150k kilometers before it reaches amount of pollution electric car production made. So at the moment, imo, ICE cars are better deal for environment. And in all honesty, when electric car reaches 100k km/60k miles, it's usually the end of its life cycle in most cases. Yes, there are some cars that drive more, I'm saying they don't but it doesn't equal out at the end for whole EV scene. Unless they'll come out with better batteries that makes less pollution to produce and can be recycled as whole, it's not a great alternative for our environment. Hydrogen cars are more environmental friendly but I guess nobody wanna pursue it except Japanese Toyota.
How about a hybrid Tesla. Still has an ICE and maybe use the super capacitor hybrid system that Lamborghini has. Doesn’t require a battery. Also, in the future, do a V8 or a Duramax diesel swapped GMC Hummer EV if possible.
