Great idea Cynthia. I love the idea of making the decorations separate from the project so you can get them just right, and then transfer them to your item/project. Smart. Thank you.
OMG you are a genius!! These wee blingy blings are very difficult to come by here in Northern Ireland and even when you do they are sooooo expensive so I will definitely have a go at this as I dont have any of the store bought ones at all......how sad!! But now I can make my own....yippeeee. Plus I got the glue gun helpers from Jules so out comes the pink mat, lol. Thanks so much for sharing this tutorial, I cant wait to try these now. Lee x
Brilliant missy! Only you girlie could come up with such a great alternative to using up our favorite bling. Love the polka dot p.j.'s... I love having p.j. scrappy days!!! Huggs, Gale The Happy Stamper :)
I know it’s 7 years since you did this tutorial. Do you remember where you got the jewels from and if they’re available outside of America - ever or still? Fantastic idea, and still relevant 7 years on. 🌹Rosie of Oz 🇦🇺
Great video. I love this idea, and I love the matt. Kellye got me one as a gift and I am inlove with it. She was so sweet to surprise me with it, and I am so happy to know I can use it for other wonderful things. Thank you so much for sharing. Big hugs and love. xoxoxo Jackie
Oh so clever and thanks. They are expensive here so this I will be giving this a try. Could you tell me which glue gun you are using please as most crafters seem to be using this small one with a nice fine tip. Thanks for sharing this Lynne
Thank you for this video...How did I miss it? Anyway, I have been looking for a fine tip glue gun for weeks. Can you please tell me the brand you have and where you bought it? Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hugs, Aideen
Oh my!!!! I love this!!!! Woot woot! Fantastic! I'm so glad I found you! Thanks for sharing this! That mat has been on my wish list, now it's a must have!
this is awesome!! I love it! I did this using pencil and glue *directly* on the project and this would be SO SO SO much easier!! :) (time saving too.. LOL) What kinda mat are you using? And where did you get it? TAffy
Very clever....Next time I am thrifting, I hope to find a small blow dryer so I can do this. Thank you! Oh, I love the tip with the tacky point to pick up and place bling where it needs to be. :-)
Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to share all of this with us! I love your videos. I had one question if you don't mind: Can this technique be used on fabric (for dresses, etc.)? And if so, what types of fabric can I use? Thanks
Most of the store bought blings have to be glued down anyway or they let go from projects. I have received several swaps where I had to glue the bling back on because it fell off during shipping. Will have to try your homemade bling to see if it stays on without glueing. Thanks
Thanks so much for sharing! You have the coolest tips! It would be so cool to do initials like I the ones I seen in AC Moore. I went there several times and the didn't have one of the letters I needed. Now, I can make my own. Tracey J.
hi.awesome idea.i tried it on wax paper but was unable to remove them.i wasn't using the fine tip glue gun.will have to get the mat.thanks for your wonderful ideas.keep them coming.
This is SUCH a great idea! I've been looking for a variety of prima bling and couldn't find any. This is far more customizable and thus far more awesome! :D
