I drove that last year, I-70 from Moab to Missouri. That pass was insane considering I did it with a F-150 pulling a 33ft 7000 pounds travel trailer. I can say it was memorable.
You climb from around 5300 feet coming out of Denver to that 11,158 over only around 25 miles (doesn't seem like much, but it is), then right back down the other side. The general standard is a maximum 3% grade (rising or falling three feet per 100 feet traveled); here it's double or more that (6-8%). Cars will notice it; trucks have to go slow or burn out their brakes; that's what the 'runaway' ramps are for. Had to break the speed limit to let a truck get to that ramp and stop once.

I drove through this tunnel three weeks ago while in Colorado for a wedding. That wasn't my first time, nor will it be my last.
Very cool! Will you be driving through Richfield, Utah? It’s along i70 near cove fort (where I70 ends)
At some point but not anytime soon.
Great video! I'm guessing you filmed the first clip after you got back from Texas.
