Its so good to read all these comments and see that others feel the same way I do about this band. I have never heard or will ever hear again anything that comes close to the unbelievable crushing rhythm and riffs of bolt thrower. They never received the recognition they deserved as undoubtedly the greatest heavy metal band of all time.
+Daniel Giles Yes - the early albums had a stronger GW influence than the more recent stuff, but it's certainly still there. See the cover of 'Realm of Chaos' - it's the same as the original WarHammer 40K rule-book: Rogue Trader
Karl Willets is the only Death Metal growler who sounds even sicker and more rotten by "losing" his voice. Here he has only half of the power and rasp he used to have during the early 90s, but it sounds even more deathlike. I love it.
I've seen them live playing two times. Love the way they play. In the Early days I really was in love with Jo Bench the bass guitar player chick. She is really a beauty
As daylight returns The fires of hope still burn Crawl through darkened lights Sickened by the mournful sight Tears fall from eyes Not sure what has been done Sorrow creeps throughout my soul All is lost, none have won The battle smoke remains Begin to feel the pain Alone now, stagger on Unsure how it begun Through time war prevails Thoughts fears cast aside Face the consequence alone With honor, valor, pride As fire fills the sky We once believed in life Now time to die For victory, for victory Now in death's glory Man's final destiny The final price to pay For victory “They shall not grow old As we that are left grow old Age shall not weary them Nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun And in the morning We will remember them We will remember them”
"As fire fills the sky We once believed in life Now time to die ...For Victory Now in deaths glory Man's final destiny The final price to pay ...For Victory"
Of all the years and all the shows I've played and gone to, I still never have had the honor of seeing Bolt Thrower live - by far one of the top 3 bands that influenced me. One fucking day, even if I have to go to Europe. Much respect goes out to them and their respect for fallen soldiers
I did the lightshow for this gig. First saw them back in 1992 and been hooked ever since. I don't listen to metal as much as I used to, but these lady and gentlemen are here to stay!
I was there, too. Quite early in the gig, somebody pulled me out of the front audience because I was bleeding all over my face. I didn't even recognize it :-). They brought me to a first aid room and took care of my injury (Thanks to them! It was only a laceration). But after that, they won't let me go back to the concert!! And would not let me drink more beer!!! (F**k them! ;-))). But fortunenately BT played two concerts in a row in the Atak and I was there the evening before, too :-)))). Entry was 5 euro per evening and everybody got a t-shirt each evening. The shows (as far as I have seen them :-)) were awesome. Best DM band ever. R.I.P. Kiddie! R.I.P. BT!
Legends !! Brings back memories ! Established in 86 !! Hmmm.... I was old even then, 24 ! But, I have always loved Bolt Thrower. I'm a big Crass/Disorder/Discharge-fan from 78-82, and I can relate to this !!!!!!! (Even if I 'm now, at the age of 56, ONLY listen to Black Metal) I have all their music downloaded from old Napster etc., but will now try to buy all their music on vinyl
the atak last remembarnce! i was there! i got invited by them via a email just saying FUCKING BOLTROWER and i got a ticked will never forget this! cheers from holland lobith. i knew some guys from a distant past stage diving.
you know how good a band was when they sound better on a shitty amateur recording done with a toaster than many other bands with a crew of sound engineers and 2 years post production process!
I've been into this band for a while now. I would love to see them live!! They just spit out song after song with some heavy-ass brutal riffage!! beautiful!!!
Outstanding performance...as i expect from Bolt Thrower. I was overwhelmed by the concerts in Endschede and Tilburg - after all these years they are still a pitiless war machine! RESPECT!!!
Saw them in Brunssum's Shelter or Unitas more than 15 years ago. My first metal gig and it was just like this video in my memory. Great performance, gonna catch em next time when they are in Holland or this side of the north sea.
@ letthedeathmetal flow Damn, I keep watching this one over and over again. It's too damn bad you didn't get to film more of this show. I'm pretty sure the band wouldn't have minded. keep treating us!
Very good quality. BT is great UK group with very specific business policy - they prefer a few concerts and therefore they maintain your high price without inflation. I saw their two shows in Prague and both were very amazing!!!
Bolt "fucking" Thrower....like having a 25 megaton tank rolling over you. 🤘🏾😎🤘🏾No compromise.....would love to be able to see you guys play live, just one last time.
Oh Fuck that's right :) I put a Huge Discharge on a wall in Epping where everyone could see it, NSW, Australia in 1981 lol, This clip went ant bought up old fond memories... LOL!
Great video! I wouldn't mind if there were some more footage of Jo ;-) I was hoping the drummer did the machine gun soundish snare drum during the solo as heard on the album version, but nonetheless an awesome live version!
Bolt Thrower chuffed as allways!! When is the party for the 20th anniversery? First time i saw BT with Pestilence and Autopsy @ VERA Groningen in 1991!grz and cheers Roelina
love Jo Bench! never had to tell anyone that she's a woman, instead she let the bass do all the talking. bolt thrower will live forever to through the heads that will continue to bang to their riffs into eternity!
We will remember them.
Never forget😓
Hail Bolt Thrower! Still loyal.
100%
Ode of Remembrance (lyrics I mean, from poem by Laurence Binyon)

A band like this never appear again.
Its so good to read all these comments and see that others feel the same way I do about this band. I have never heard or will ever hear again anything that comes close to the unbelievable crushing rhythm and riffs of bolt thrower. Bolt Thrower is like a megaton tank.... Rolling over everything in it's path. Heavy and unstoppable.... Fuck yeah.....
Thanks for all Songs BOLT THROWER.
Bolt Thrower = insane drums !
Death metal with groovy drumming pattern. The one and only
Not enough Jo Bench! There she is at 2:35
Every one needs to see this band live at least once. They are superb
is this a games workshop inspired band?
+Daniel Giles Yes - the early albums had a stronger GW influence than the more recent stuff, but it's certainly still there. See the cover of 'Realm of Chaos' - it's the same as the original WarHammer 40K rule-book: Rogue Trader
cool
+Michael Johnson You do know it was in fact GW who came to BT and asked them to do a record for them in the beginning? :)
+Xenofobulus - Proxy page that's just even cooler!
No camera love for Bass? :(
Poor Jo.
Plight of the Bassist.
jimmy31hendrix I mean it is good for her due to her shyness.
Stunning, awesome footage. What a great fucking band. This shit is so good.
Karl Willets is the only Death Metal growler who sounds even sicker and more rotten by "losing" his voice. Here he has only half of the power and rasp he used to have during the early 90s, but it sounds even more deathlike. I love it.
But he certainly didn't lose his hair
Sounds like Johaan Liiva
I've seen them live playing two times. Love the way they play. In the Early days I really was in love with Jo Bench the bass guitar player chick. She is really a beauty
Bolt+Thrower is a shotgun that comes equipped with exploding shells.
In this case it's a fantasy weapon from the warhammer universe. A lot like a ballista, so not a shotgun.
@JBWarsmith. I meant tonally. Rotary cannon dart-throwing ballista imagery.
Forever Loyal
more Jo Bench please!!!!!! :)
His vocals sound even BETTER live ! I'm impressed !!!
As daylight returns
The fires of hope still burn
Crawl through darkened lights
Sickened by the mournful sight
Tears fall from eyes
Not sure what has been done
Sorrow creeps throughout my soul
All is lost, none have won
The battle smoke remains
Begin to feel the pain
Alone now, stagger on
Unsure how it begun
Through time war prevails
Thoughts fears cast aside
Face the consequence alone
With honor, valor, pride
As fire fills the sky
We once believed in life
Now time to die
For victory, for victory
Now in death's glory
Man's final destiny
The final price to pay
For victory
“They shall not grow old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them
We will remember them”
respect to Bolt Thrower....from Sweden
"As fire fills the sky
We once believed in life
Now time to die
...For Victory
Now in deaths glory
Man's final destiny
The final price to pay
...For Victory"
Bolt Thrower fucking rules...🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪💪

Best Death Metal band ever!!!

I have been lucky enough to have seen them twice. It's something you have to experience. Fucking brutal...
Atak will never forget Bolt Thrower. Enschede will remember.
The shows in Atak, as well as Vera were always the best. Much respect to the East and North

Great performance, gonna catch em next time when they are in Holland or this side of the north sea.
Should be a million views....
Sound is amazing

Athens 29th May!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHH
good example of why you dont really need security at metal gigs, metalheads just _get it_ and have fun respectfully
@skarmoon Haha yes, almost 25 years!
But i meant my anniversary with BT.
Their first european tour was in 1990 (not 1991 as i wrote before).
