Love this!!!! This is what it's all about. I'm 60 and have lived a very healthy lifestyle with strength training, walking etc most of my adult life. Lost my dad 8 months ago and had my entire world turned upside down. I'm up 25lbs but working my way back. I'm surrounded by coworkers and friends that choose to take the easy way out. All on Ozempic and still eating horribly and don't even exercise but are losing mass amounts of weight/muscle. I'm struggling to lose 1/2lb a week but I will not resort to drugs. I'm proud that at 60 I'm not on any medication. BP is117/68 and can keep up with my 3 grandkids. Your posts are keeping me motivated. Thank you!

Omg yes! That is so true!!! I relate to you so much. I was always skinny fat back when I was doing lots of HIIT and eating processed foods. I didn't understand macros or calories or inflammation. As a result, I was constantly trying to "outrun" a bad diet...literally. after 7 years of that, i crashed metabolism and threw my hormones out of whack and had my cortisol through the roof. This year, I've learned so much and I'm learning how those processed foods actually make my body feel. I tried to eat a "pizza hotpocket" 2 weeks ago and 30 mins after I ate it, I was hovering over the toilet trying to keep it down. If I eat too much bread, I get a rash, feel sluggish and get bloated. Never noticed that before. This weightloss journey has been unlike any other. I look and feel so much better in my body, and mind and my relationship with food is better. My mood is better! I haven't been depressed at ALL since changing my diet and cutting out alcohol. My skin has been glowing. The funniest part is that I'm still 15-20 lbs heavier than I used to be but I LOOK better because the extra weight is lean muscle this time and not Just 20 lbs of fat
YES YES YES!!! GIRLLLLL!!!! ME TOO!!! It's so incredible what happens when you take out all the processed junk and reduce inflammation and start feeling good, then try to eat something highly processed and our body is like NOPE! You're doing such a great job! Are you done with your cut?!? Did you end on an even number? How are you feeling? SO SO SO proud of you!!! I'm still hanging at the 138 mark. But I switched up my training style and so I'm giving it a couple of weeks to see how it shakes out. Trusting the process! I hope you have the most beautiful day!!! 💕
@charlenetown1111 yes! It's so exciting! I ended up finished my cuts and 7.2 lbs lost. I was only aiming for around 5 so I'm excited about that! I went on vacation/a family reunion the day after so I'm 2 lbs up which would have made the old me panic. Now I understand its just water and it will settle eventually. I ended up throwing back out the day before vacation so I'm easing back into weight training but overall, I'm really satisfied! All of my relatives kept telling me how amazing i looked and asked what i was doing so it must be working 🤣 I used to think my metabolism was slow/broken but now being able to consistently lose or maintain weight when I want and still EAT a large volume of food is UNREAL.
I appreciate your candidness! When I realized I’m sensitive to some foods/groups that cause inflammation, it was a game changer. I totally understand what you’re saying, and I do the same. I was so happy to know I actually CAN have chocolate chip cookies and YES I CAN eat oatmeal/granola and dairy just NOT a lot life became happier. I’m blessed, because some people can’t tolerate it at all. You’re so right on with this video with the proper mindset and loving one’s self. Thank you!
