Shadow: "She always span in circles Sonic, you wouldn't understand the joy such an action brought to her. Its not right to use it without her around." Sonic: "...Dude, for real?"

@ yeah the game being short sucks but I suppose it’s not a full title it’s a remaster of Sonic Generations with Shadow content to capitalise on Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and it was a cheaper game all in all. I’d love to see this style perfected in the next game with a big open world and variety of stages. This game being shorter will give us a better game in the future.
@@BrisketSurge also my other issue with this game is the fact that Knight didn’t show up at all during Chaos Island. Having him as a stage hazard would’ve been really cool, maybe he could slice some platforms or something.

Impressive video! I did this for fun awhile ago and you found most of the stuff I did and more! I put down the chaos island 2d challenges as impossible before but that pole in gondola master makes it a lot easier! And I could never find a way to damage on the cyclones so kudos. Some other things to mention: The slide in Ark1 is much simpler to get through, skipping the first jump, you can time the first gap jump perfrectly, damage boost, and jump before the goop to make it just outside the arena and homing attack in! Also you *can* get through the beginning of Radical Highway 2 with some very funky boosting, but it doesnt make the level beatable still!
For biolizard you can chaos control when he slams his arms down and homing attack to destroy his arm in stopped time. This does a chunk of damage and refills chaos control.
I’m very glad the funny slide is getting use. I remember spending a good while on launch day figuring it out, it just FEELS cooler than Quick-Step, even if in reality it feels a whole lot less useful LOL

Heyo! I tried this challenge a couple months ago and had a couple different results. I didn't get to any of the hard challenges and devil doom because this is too mentally taxing I couldn't get past Space Colony Ark 1 because of skill issue probably but assumed someone could do it, so I'm impressed you could. Also the glitch where the sidestep moves left and right in 2D happens so many times while I did the challenge. It's activated differently between levels but is usually done with angled surfaces and getting hit by enemies. I used it to get past SCA 2's spinning platform section by using the enemies bullets and also Chaos Control. Being able to stand on enemies can have effects like Chaos Island's boulders. I got pretty far in Chaos Island Act 2 with the glitch but still got stuck. I managed to get to the bottom of the first skydiving section in RH2 once but thee second one is completely impossible on both routes. I also did the Sunset heights one ring challenge by slowly using the air dodge instead of boosting over the huge platforms, it made the beginning easier but your strategy was probably still better. In the gondola, I beat the regular one by using visual cues to line up in-between the spike balls. It was pretty consistent but still painful. Still, Great Video and I'm happy someone else suffered alongside me

I actually tried beating the game without moving, here's a little fact: in space colony ark act 1, after you collect the first token you can actually boost into the wall and he'll turn around
You can actually complete the slide section of Space Colony Ark very easily. Slide down the until the second ramp. Before you fall off jump with the stick in neutral position. You'll slide into a purple pit on the left near the end, simply go through it, taking damage. Then you enter the purple area on the right before the end. Jump again with neutral position. Take damage, and right before you reach the ledge jump again with neutral position. You might land right outside the fence on the final building, but you can boost through it or homing attack the enemy. Doing this, I was able to beat the stage without the left stick in 3:48. To clarify, jumping while sliding with the left stick in neutral position allows Shadow to jump much further than folding a direction. I am amazed that someone else in world has played Mephiles without the left stick! I recommend trying to go for the S rank if you want a fun challenge! XD I also recommend checking out the Shadow Generations Speedrun Discord! Players there have also labbed out left stickless levels quite a bit! Space Colony Ark Act 2 might even be possible.
11:00 You know actually, using chaos control before attacking the bubble arm of the biolizard would've given you that faster time since it deals bonus damage.
