    I own 502x, it's a wonderful machine and there are lot of myths about it's height, weight and performance. Never felt underpowered even with pillion on steep climbs, once u cross 10km per hour speed, it feels as nimble as any bike, yes height can be a problem for medium size riders. Other than that, bike is a treat to ride and has tons of street presence. No other 500cc bike gives u the kind of comfort on long tours. God bless

    Good review. Just did my first service (1000km) on my TRK502. Cost about 45usd. Oil 25usd, oil filter 15usd, labour 0.5usd. Nothing else was changed. Riding experience has been good so far but am yet to take a long road trip.
    A little more power would have helped the TRK probably 650cc but it's still a good bike. The on road tire are terrible incase you go off road on a wet day.....the 502 is designed to stay on paved roads but 502x is not available in our country so I settled for the 502. Am planning to change to off-road tires to enable me venture out more confidently.
    So far so good though.

      spoke or alloy wheels either of these are good. just that for 502x fixing a puncture is tedious, so far I haven't faced any problems. there are many options available in market for tubeless conversion, but then the best solution is to learn on how to fix the puncture. otherwise 502x is perfect.

    I am looking to buy an adv bike but i am having tough time in choosing between himalyan and benelli. KTM is not in my preference since i am quite heavy in weight and have a heaight of 6.1 so i am looking for heavier vehicle. Since i am heavy i am concerned about power to weight ratio of these bikes. I am also factorig that i amnot a very regular road trip person so maybe 5-6 long tripsthrough out the year is something i do. The most important factor is the price , benelli i 4 lakhs expensive than a himalyan. I know there are differences in engine and few other features but do you think that spending extra 4 lakhs is worth it?

    • @rideatease
      @rideatease  3 года назад +1

      considering your height TRK 502x will not be a problem at all and with regards to your road trips 5-6 times it's a decent one (I believe these will be longer trips). Talking about the price point we cannot really compare Himalayan with TRK, since it has to deal with power, quality, torque, bhp, road presence etc. etc. I could suggest you go for a test ride and you will get a clear vision on what's best for you. thanks !!

      hi there ! till date I have covered 12k Kms and I completed 3 services and the average cost was 7k each (you can check the vlogs) chain sprocket it's around 13-15k which is kinda similar in this segment of bikes, front brake pads EBC (after market brake pads and good one) is 2.8k(pair) you can check bikenbiker website for the cost. All in all I think the parts and service cost are similar under these categories of bikes.
