Started on a 2022 R7 and gotta say its alot/enough power to be able to use on the road and highway. Its pretty torquey and good power through the whole rev range. A good bike to first start off on if you have a background on bikes beforehand. Even then if you didnt, I would still recommend it to someone who thinks they have the self control to not rip it off the jump because it will bite back. Other than that if you're interested in a beginner sport bike, a r7 wouldnt be a bad foundation. Also love the videos MrTuck :P

I had a Ninja 300 for 2 years. It was my second bike. I put almost 15,000 miles on it. I can't recommend it enough. I bought it with about 1000 miles on it. Dropped it twice and had to fix it.
I can't give enough praise to that bike. A lightweight bike like a Ninja 400 or ZX4RR is an absolute must for daily riding. I even took it for 8 hour full day rides and rode it in all weathers. The only thing it needs is a good set of tires. Pirelli Diablo IIIs or IVs are godly in all weather and well worth the money.
The quality of these bikes is awesome as well. Never had a single issue. The only expensive thing is the fairing replacement - drops or small crashes are likely to happen for newbies, so be prepared to fork over some cash if you want to keep it looking mint.
Had an MT07 as well for a year and I would say it can get you in a lot of trouble if youre riding in the city. The torque is addicting. I would suggest anyone who's not doing highway miles to go for a NInja 400 or ZX4RR if you can afford it.

That's not to say that they can't handle highway miles - it's plenty for overtakes and I had the Ninja 300 up to an indicated 121mph on a perfect day. But they don't have the massive torque/power of bigger bikes to overtake in an instant.
I also tried a Fireblade and about a dozen other bikes and I want a ZX4RR as a lifetime keeper/daily. Massive power is overrated in the twisties and the city. Aside from bragging to your friends and top speed runs there are barely any benefits for road riding.

Started on a Yamaha MT07 in October and just hit 6k miles on it today. Gotta say, definitely a good bike to learn on. It's stunted a lot so you know it has plenty of torque, and has a good amount of hp for a beginner bike. It is a lot to grow into and definitely enough fun for a while. I'm upgrading to an R1 here pretty soon because I'll be moving, and be doing a lot of highway commuting, which the MT07 isn't the best for due to lack of wind protection and it's upright riding position. Other than that though, if you're in the city, it's probably the best bike to start on.

Love your videos man! I’m really wanting to get a bike! I’ve been riding motocross for 4 years and am on a 450cc the most powerful class in motocross and have proper throttle and clutch control, I know that obviously sports bikes are a lot different but feel like I would do fine on a 600. Would you be able to do a video on proper body positioning and technique on the bike , that would help a lot! Appreciate you brother 🤝💯
