His down to earth honesty and his the way he opens himself to the fans makes him the next big thing in Montreal. I have been a Habs fan since my 1st game at the forum in the late 70s and never have I experienced a player like him. He understand the pressure and expectations on him and if anything thrives in it. We have not seen the full potential of this young man. And I am not only talking about his stats.

Shows how mature slafkovsky is at a young age the fact he is willing to take care of his sister is a pretty big toll.

every player takes care of their families, they just don't expect to be praised for it so they don't mention it

@beerdo not as a 20 year old kid taking care of his 15 year old sister. By himself, ya 25 year olds when they are established and normally have a girlfriend or a wife. Even 20 year Olds normally have there parents around. Slafkovsky is doing it by himself.

@@beerdo it's weird you have to insult people to try to get a point across. Saying that he's not extremely mature to take care of a kid by himself at a young age is not being sheltered its reality.

@ethanmonds4132 understanding why you don't understand isn't an "insult" you just feel insulted because you're not actually educated on the topic 🤣

I remember relatively soon last year I dared and predict that Juraj Slafkovsky might just be the next Marian Hossa... I was humiliated and had TONS of fingers pointed at me from people just laughing out LOUD!
Considering this season's and the fact that he just turned 20, I'm very VERY proud to reiterate my very same prediction / comparison!

Wow what an insight into basically a teenage boys diary, talking through his experience living his hockey dream far from home. So innocent 😇
