    Takes a big man to admit his mistakes. Especially when those mistakes concern...a very big man like Slaf. Personally, I think it was the right choice, and that as he develops, Juraj will silence every critic of that pick.

      We need to draft another good goalie first or steal one from somewhere else. Our current goaltender situation doesn't leave a very good taste in my mouth. I'm hoping Hughes can pull a rabbit from the hat. Can't win a cup without a great goalie. Its not the 80's where you could just outscore your opponent to make up for poor goaltending.

    Great vlog DD (as usual!). Question: As I have not had the pleasure of ever seeing a Hab practice LIVE before, did you see or did anything stand out to you as you watch a Habs practice? Any specific player stand out or MSL coaching style during a practice...I assume they were not in attendance but did you see Hughes/Gorton? Nice to see some players stop to talk to fans, and you. Have fun in Montreal!

    Been a habs fan since the 80's, I like your channel. What current drafted hab has the best chance at developing into a point per game player in your opinion? I don't think Caufield or Slafkovsky will reach the point per game level. If Caufield can stay healthy, do you think he can reach the 50 goal plateau in his career as a hab? Its been so long its hard to recall the last time we drafted a point per game player or a 50 goal scorer. Also, with the speed of the game so much faster these days and injuries alot more common what is your opinion on removing checking completly from the game? Keep up the great work. I will never be able to afford to go to a habs game, and being in Northern Ontario habs games are blacked out, you make me so jelly.

    • @DrewDekes
      @DrewDekes  Год назад

      Habs may be working on developing a streaming service in the future from what I’ve heard. We’ll see how that pans out, if it’s realistic. I’d say Nick is the closest to being a point per game player, or maybe even Lane Hutson if he genuinely becomes the player they expect him to be. Can’t see a day when hitting is removed from hockey. Maybe fighting someday, but not hitting I don’t think.

    Slaf has big issues at this time. He is tentative and lacks confidence. He is not strong on the puck. I think the injury last year, so early in his career, was a deep setback. Not sure if he will ever pan out to the level we all anticipated.
