Thank you for your videos Jimmy. Thank you for the few moments of calmness. And thank you for reminding people of the beauty that can be found all around us.
Hi Fred, Thank you for your kind words. Nature has an endless supply of treasures in store for us. I keep having to remind myself to get out and explore more! Jimmy
Thanks for your words of encouragement - they are very special habitats and I can’t understand why I haven’t photographed them before when they are a mere 90 minute drive away! Jimmy
I discovered the joy of Offaly bogs this summer. In July on a 1 km stretch at Bracklin i had 7 species of orchid, plus other bog flora. Already planning to revisit next year, with the bonus of learning much from your video about good techniques. Thanks.
Thanks C D, I looked up Blacklin but couldn’t find on Google. Ballylin came up in the search which I’ve now learned is also called Ferbane! I’ll also have to revisit at some point. Jimmy
Fantastic vlog Jimmy. I live in the Midlands and have 7 or 8 bogs on my door step. Never really go shooting there except to fly my drone but I think that might change after watching this. Fabulous shots.
In England and Wales, it's been recorded by conservation groups that insects, butterfly, and moths in particular have been low in numbers. Seems this is the case in Ireland, too. The general feeling is the rainfall last year and early this year up until June has been the most likely effect. Have you noticed this, too?
Hi Shay, Great to hear from you. I think the camera does Z8 but I haven’t used it. I stacked the images using a tool - Zerene stacker on the desktop which uses 3 different algorithms so that you can pick the best as there are always some artefacts particularly when stacking many images. Jimmy

Stunning Jimmy, especially love the damselflies (and the blue ball head!)
Shirley, The damselflies are a wonder of creation but the blue ball head is in a different league. German engineering at its best! Talk soon, Jimmy
Many stunning images Jimmy, very well done!
Thanks Anton, Jimmy
Inspiring work and video Jimmy thank you
Hi Peter, Really do appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching. Jimmy
Stunning images, and a truly inspiring motivation! As someone who also loves bogs it's wonderful to see how you showcase them!

I really enjoyed the video and images. Great stuff. Well done.
Thanks Roger, The colours in the bog are so varied and rich. That is what stood out to me when I was processing the images. Jimmy

Thanks Noel, I found it best just to stay in a very small area and look closely. Probably went to too many places in the 2 days I was there! Jimmy
Thank you for sharing your experience, techniques and artistry. So inspiring
Thanks Chris, Much appreciated and it encourages me make more content and take more time to improve. Jimmy
Wonderful film! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Mark, Thank you once again. The feedback is encouraging. Jimmy

Hi Brock, 100%. The poorest year for butterflies in many years. It’s improved over the past 2 weeks or so. Thanks for watching. Jimmy
Jimmy loved every second of it .Does the camera installing give you the final image or do you stack it in photoshop?
