Poor Kangaroo looks like he's in shock. I am happy to see he's getting care.

Why are people giving her stick? The woman is doing nothing wrong. She's a legend for what she's doing to help the kangaroo and clearly knows what she is doing and you can tell she really cares for the kangaroo.

She doesn't know what she is doing. Throw out all that bedding, get a hose attachment for the sink, use a tearless shampoo, then the right prescription skin ointment and finish with a preventative treatment to kill any new infestation. Most important to deep clean and medicate the inside of the ears, where mites harbor. That sick baby needs an antibiotic to boost immunity. The outdoor accommodation is far too filthy. Needs to be cleaned and sterilized, new cushion, with cover that can be changed daily. The woman is imagining flowers and sunshine while not doing much at all to help. "Caretakers" can be so clueless, they don't get the proper training, it's painful to watch. Having a "good heart" is not enough. She needs to responsibly live up to the task.

My cat got Rabbit Mites here in australia. I bathed her in olive oil. I even very gently, rubbed her ears with the olive oil too.
It killed every. Last. One of them. Usually mites dont ever leave. Trust me the olive oil works. It drowns them.

Yes, she should get to a proper vet. This woman is so clearly to a pro. Check out real professional kangaroo carers and see what they do.

He's sleeping on a mat all alone and looks terrified. I'm sure he is. Please reconsider your choices. Look at other joey carers and learn.

I think you don't have the right temperament to be doing this work. I don't think you're aware of it, but you are not kind and behave quite badly towards these animals, lacking empathy. Please take this as positive criticism and be willing to take a look at your behavior. These guys need love. This one sure doesn't look like it's getting that.
