Dude, this is such a good review! Thanks! Have you tried the SixSixOne Evo Compression suit? I feel like the chest protection on the IXS Trigger (and the IXS Carve) isn't that great compared to that on the 661. What do you think?
The pads are still fine. Instead of taking them out for cleaning, I put the suit on a chair and just use a waterhose to rinse the sweat out. The only problem I've noticed when crashing is the elbow pads can move around too much (maybe just my arms, but still worth mentioning). I also broke a rib 3 weeks ago while wearing this, so the little bit of frontal foam doesn't do much.
@@UnicornBikes Sorry you are hurt. My son climbs trees for a living and cracked a rib 4 weeks ago. He is still hurting when he sneezes! I already have bad shoulders and am most concerned about having something to land on. Did you get a video of your crash? And the most important question -- Is the bike ok? :)
not being able to wash it in a washing machine is absurd. You should mention which cleaner you used. I got Poc VPD 2.0 padding, I wash it, but I use wool or technical clothing wash, so that does not damage any technical clothing. but you might have used a enzyme powder, which can damage some material. I run it at 30C 800 Rpm cycle with a lot of washing fluid, I make sure it's long enough wash, and it gets rinse too. I manage to get all stink out, get them clean.
Hi if you don't mind me asking, how tall are you, and what is your chest size/circumference? Like your size for suits and blazers. I'm in between getting a SM or ML
Well initially it was going to be fpv footage of races so RideWithMe. Doing more reviews, I renamed it to mtbreview. Honestly, that was a horrible name especially because I like CX, gravel and TT too. Unicorn Bikes is more inline with my main channel Unicorn Reviews.
@Unicorn Bikes How old is your IXS Trigger Upper Body protection already? It looks a bit flimsy and I don't want to see it fall apart in a year or so. The alternative would be the 661 compression jacket long sleeve and I can't decide :-/ THX!!
By now, the elbow inserts have cracked, but other than that, its still good. Best to wash as little as possible and take the inserts out when you do wash it
"it kept me safe" and "A+ comfort" sealed the deal for me ;-)
This is one of the best reviews I have seen on youtube.
thanks for the review!

I was looking at the 661 whem I bought this one. Never tried it tho, can't comment on it
@@UnicornBikes Thanks! Got this one. :)
Nice review dude
Great review. How do you like the pads after one year? I just landed on my shoulder and am looking for some protection that is not too hot or heavy.

I'm ok and so is the bike :)
I hope your son heals up well, it usually take 4 weeks for me when I break something

When I want to put a jerse over it, should I size up with my jersey or are jerseys made to be worn over this?
Depends on how tight you jersey is now? I wear the same size with or without protection
8:20 We have a comedian ladies and gents! xD Crashing without the suit to see how it goes ROTFLOL! xD
How is the chest and rib protection in terms of impact absorption?
Almost nothing, maybe 1cm of light foam

I'm 1m84 but gained a lot of weight. Not sure if I fit this thing anymore

great review, to me this product seems to be awful.
So this product sucks. Thanks.
