Put your newly cut hose in hot water for 10 seconds before putting the bite valve back in. You're welcome ;)

I bought a tube brush today. How did you clean your bag and hose?

The bite valve on mine has no visible hope and when sucking nothing happens. If I remove the valve and suck I can access water so it is definitely the bite valve. Can you show how the bite valve should look so I can compare please?

Might be a stupid question but you're sure you're actually "biting" the bite valve (you're using the word "sucking")? I've recently bought a running backpack myself and had identical issues until I discovered you're supposed to bite the rubber quite a bit to access the water

When i pulled the rubber part of the valve a bit then i was able to suck.
