I think I was so caught up in the storyline that I forgot just how insanely good this set was. With the sole exception of game 3, every game went last hit, and both showed absolutely incredible skill and game knowledge. The last little bit of game 5 of out of this world, with Sparg0's ridiculous walljump limit recovery, and Void's raindrop. This has seriously got to be one of the best Ultimate sets ever.
That set was super cool! I don’t actively keep up with competitions between players, so I appreciate the background knowledge you provide. Makes the videos more enjoyable! 💙
man some of those Void plays felt like the guy was on Ultra Instinct. he was reading ahead of Sparg0s every move. he plays this character so well. it's so good watching People play this character that almost anybody plays, if anybody really plays sheik.
@@badman2733I think you may feel that way because it's been 3 years and he's only gotten better meanwhile back then he was also very young, but him beating VoiD was what put him on the map but now it's hardly memorable, it could be worse though! Like Light getting reverse 3-0'd by Nairo's Ganon. That's never coming off of his record 😂😂😂
This is one of those characters Sheik actually does pretty well against. Has good tools for exploiting Cloud's middling disadvantage, especially offstage (as seen in this set). These swordies with weak recoveries (Roy, Aegis, Cloud, Seph to a lesser extent) are some of the chars Sheik arguably has favorable matchups into. Olimar, ICs, and PacMan on the other hand... mess this character up so much.
As a ice climber main some pr sheik was money matching people but tried one game with ice climbers and switched off shiek and went pac man. You said it right. Sheik seems to do super well against swordies but yet looses mad hard to some others. Mad impressive set from both players!
@dynax987 I don't know how Eim (JP Sheik, arguably highest placing Sheik since VoiD's semi-retirement) hasn't picked up a secondary at this point. His region has Harasen and Futawari and usually if they are seeded with him early for a tourney he has a hard time placing top 8-12.
The rematch from long ago, old guard vs new guard, the sleeping giant vs the rising one, the one who just recently returned vs the one who never left, the one who swapped character vs the one who stuck with theirs. People don't realize how many parallels there are in this rematch
Retired maybe, but still cracked as hell. Upset by technicality. If Marss beat sparg0 it would be cool as well but not surprising. That being said, good shit. It's not an easy feat for anyone to beat the player considered #2 in the world at worst. Definitely something to be really proud of!
Void was a contender for 2-3 for the entire lifetime of sm4sh and was top 10 at worst for the entirety of his ssbu performance before the pandemic. He just started making content and moving away from practicing every day.
Are your videos usually like this? From the title, was I the only one that was expecting an analysis of the set and not just a highlight video of the set?
Ur mad a baby Sparg0 beat your little crush. Sparg0 is easily the best player rn. Only Leo can consistently challenge that. Keep sucking off voids washed up dick lmao
i feel like void would be #1 if pichu and shiek didnt get nerfed to hell. i also think its really lame how lucky cloud players get when they get saved by limit
Cloud can't do anything good against shield. His grab range is one of the worst and he has no true combos off of them, plus none of his attacks do much shield damage so there isn't much pressure of a shield break. Plus cloud can't kill very easily, he'll either try upsmashing you or waiting till limit. Even though back air is BROKEN, every cloud uses it so much that it stales, so by the time you're at kill percent he'll have to use something else. I've seen clouds back air not kill at 160-180 because it's the safest tool to use in neutral. If you don't land on his shield with bad spacing for upsmash/limit he has to work wayyy harder for his kills. Hope this helps
The 4 year awaited revenge. But seriously that Summit Set was so hype to watch and to end it with a Raindrop of all things!
The raindrop was such an incredible ending
I'm gonna give credit to the commentators, they were on point and made soooo hype the whole set.
They’re the best commentators.
Yeah, Ultimate summit 6 commentary was by far the best smash commentary I've heard
Void disrespected Cloud’s recovery
To be fair I don’t think anyone could have beaten void this match lol he became smash itself for this set.
Acola could
@@fupaloverno he didn’t
4:12 is one of the greatest clips I’ve ever seen. The spacing was ridiculous
Great comment, excellent highlight to mention 🔥🔥 Void's spacing was nuts
Completely agree. I rewatched that bit immediately

It was such an amazing Summit. Seeing Void at his best was always a treat.
It’s funny how Spargo’s claim to fame was upsetting VoiD at a SoCal tournament, and now it’s the other way around lol
Cmon now, he’s got other claims to fame at this point lol
@@badman2733 That was the main set that brought attention to him though, I don’t think anyone questions that

Spargo is one of my favourites...thank you mate for this Video...!!!!
Thank you SO much for your support! Sparg0 is the GOAT
This is is certified goat gamer moment
True, void is a legend
He really is the world's greatest gamer
Only makes me sad void doesn't take smash seriously anymore except for RARE occasions like this
Set of the year imo. I distinctly remember watching it live with some friends, it was insane. Great vid!

At first i thought that was the weeknd
Always loved void since sm4sh
Actually I missed the strong void's Pichu. But this game was great enough to excite me. I hope he come to Japan someday❤

Very well said!
They played on PS2 the whole time. I love this game
Incredible content !! Preciate the upload!
Thank you so much!
the commentary on the string at 2:40 got me dying. 2:46 " THE REMIX!" 🤣 🤣 🤣
lmao I was hype saying that for sure LOL
I knew the outcome
I even watched the set when it came out
And I STILL popped off

Nah it'd still be surprising, this was like M2K winning Summit. Yes he was still very good but he was never really a contender like that
Void was a contender for 2-3 for the entire lifetime of sm4sh and was top 10 at worst for the entirety of his ssbu performance before the pandemic. He just started making content and moving away from practicing every day.
as a sparg0 fan, this set was just straight up painful to watch
It was a nail-biter at its finest
7:41 random marrs lol
Claramente se ve que spargo no duerme 😢
VoiD really said, "Nothin' personnel, kid." 😎
He is drinking water, no way sparg0 could have won that one
Void didn’t let that slide💀
Losing to void imo will never be an upset, dude is insane at everygame he plays. He just doesnt play a current meta character
I mean it's Void... It's not like it's some noob. I've seen him destroy Nairo like light work.
what did spargo do in his cam at 5:58 ??
was he hitting his control? did it malfunction?
I think he was frustrated
Sparg0 seems to lose to smashers that are tired of the game. But at least it was an entertaining set overall
I always said void is the weeknd lmao
now the sheik downplayers can stop
Are your videos usually like this? From the title, was I the only one that was expecting an analysis of the set and not just a highlight video of the set?
I always give context to the history of the set. However, I do not analyze every single scenario of the gameplay.
Hahahaha! Void rightfully destroyed Sparg0's dreams 😂
Wdym rightfully?
@@illford6921Sparg0 plays Aegis, and he hates Aegis. He kinda hates on Aegis players.

Aparte de la llegada de bayonetta y cloud en smash 4 la mayoria de jugadores se llenaron de controversias y tuvieron que dejar el juego
So close, pure lucky
Tbh sparshit is a bad player. Spammer up b and very predictable.
But these tournaments are set up for him to win.

Having a lucky limit recovery doesn't really make up for clouds very average normal recovery lol
@@diglettdigdig his abilities, strength, speed and frame data are way above average. his recovery is below average because of this
