  • Before being stored for winter, Fowler Nr. 8903 undertook a 7-mile road journey in West Sussex, pulling a restored Fowler traction wagon, capable of carrying a load of 8-tons.
During her working life in Wiltshire, at the Market Lavington Brick, Tile and Pottery Works, which was owned by HOLOWAY BROS. of West Lavington & London (1900-1921) and W. E. CHIVERS of Devizes (1921-1935), she pulled three such wagons simultaneously. The loads were mostly bricks etc. produced at the Brickworks.
This series of short videos shows the afternoon run.

I am pleased you like it. The engine does look best on the road (where she belongs), and we will be making more of this type of video in 2024.
