In its inaugural exhibition, SAKA Museum collaborated closely with Balinese communities and artists to create ogoh-ogoh, giant effigies paraded through the streets on the eve of Nyepi-the Saka calendar's most important day and Bali's New Year celebration.
The exhibition, overseen by cultural innovator Marlowe Bandem, serves as an entry point for visitors to delve into the meaning of Nyepi. The museum's permanent collection, curated by renowned researchers and cultural experts, will officially open next year.
