We were there in November 2018, and loved riding the Shinkansen, and even the non high speed trains. Loved all of our experience in Japan. Can't wait to go back.
We took the same ride in May of 2019. Unlike you guys, we were not lucky enough to see Mt. Fuji during the trip, which means we'll have to visit again. We did stop at Odawara for a hot spring excursion to Hakone. At Odawara, we experienced the Shinkansen going full speed zipping by the station. It was amazing! Hope the pandemic is over soon so people can travel again!
Hi everybody, I was one of developing origins engineer. In Japan, we have so many tunnels thus, head unique volume shape is most interesting enjoy point hehe. Have fun!
Hello guys! Brilliant video! I’ve always wanted to go on a Shinkansen as I love high speed trains! The engineering of these trains is just superb! Hope you both had a brilliant time exploring Japan, it certainly looks like you’ve had fun! I wish you both a happy new year and I wish you all the best for 2020!
16:01 I also notice they bow while coming in and out of staff doors in supermarkets. You sometimes see life-size sticker foot prints on the floor where they need to stand for bowing.
I just looked up why the modern Shinkansen have such long noses thinking it would be a safety feature but apparently it's to reduce noise. It sounded fairly noisy on the videos, was it really or were the noise levels fine in person?
I also found that the Spanish TALGO trains also have quite a long nose on them too Mind you, I bet it only travels at a fraction of the speed of the Shinkansen 'Bullet' train!
I've been riding shinkansen from the 1970s -- prior to the "long noses." When two of them used to pass each other going in opposite directions at high speed, the impact was... startling to say the least. (I thought it would blow out a window...) Since the advent of the long noses, I was surprised (and pleased) to see how smooth the close pass-bys have become.
At that time, I knew about other people just by talking about unknown viruses in China. .. No one knows that it will be the worst situation in the world. .. It is said that the cause of the spread of the infection in Japan was that many Chinese people entered Japan on a trip during that period. At that time, the Japanese government's crisis management was sparse. .. I pray that it will end soon and return to the original happiness. From Japanese

Good video! My daughter will go to Wales next January for wedding. I hope all of you in UK will kindly look after my daughter (from father)
Do you know what actual speed you went at. Looks like you hD great fun. 😀😀
Too bad you guys didn't make a stop at Nagoya like most people, though there is a nice Museum of Shinkansen,
amazing

it was actually really quiet

@@philallon9079 Interesting, I wonder if we may see something similar if/when HS2 arrives.

お父さんと娘さんなのか^^;おじいちゃんと孫だとおもった^^;
