When Laura was planting the two big pots the filming was done beautifully. The music, and the regular speed. I like that choice of filming so much better than speeding everything up.
I agree! The video today was, to quote Laura, “perfection!”…
I agree! The speed is for longer videos I believe 😂
Bravo to this video's editor the music was perfect while Laura was planting the large flower pots.
Really loved the music too!
❤You are so right, the filming was amazing during the Planters getting planted. It was fabulous!
Laura and Aaron, I have been watching for years and you’re the reason I have had confidence to garden! You explain everything so clearly and provide so much inspiration for us all. Thank you!
Yes! The knowledge gained over the years I keep confidentiality expanding my garden. I appreciate her explanations so much and love that I am still learning.
So proud that you held back and let the mangave shine on its own!
That whole bed where the Mangave is situated is absolutely gorgeous!
I was happy to hear you talk so honestly about the changing out of soil and how it has evolved based on your experience. “Book”recommendations are one thing, but experience is everything!
The Mangave just looks majestic in that urn. The perfect place for it!
Yes! It's a really interesting look. Something we don't see very often around here but it works so well!
Wow, someone did a fantastic job of the editing with the video quality and music, when you were planting out the big pots. Loved that, it filled my heart. The Mangave looks amazing. Paired with the urn, it kind of looks like a pineapple.
Thanks for the regular speed and soft music while Laura was planting! It was very enjoyable to watch…sometimes the music used is rough and I have to mute it when watching Laura do her work. It’s a great pleasure watching her work and there is no need to increase the speed. You guys are so awesome, thanks so much for your wonderful content.
I really liked how you filmed Lora planting the big pot at the beginning of the video. Very relaxing. You didn't use fast speed.
Looks great, so happy to see ZERO sweet potato vine!
It looks like Ursula is busting out of the urn like in The Little Mermaid, I love it! You should name it Ursula :)
Love it!!
I am an impatient gardener, so your speedy shots are fun to watch. However, the music and speed of her planting looked so beautiful. Loved it! Gardening is very therapeutic for me, and this hit the spot. Lol. Thank you.
For years I have struggled with changing out my soil on each of my huge pots. I have had spinal fusion surgery and the disc above the fusion is bulging now, so lifting bags of soil is a nightmare for me. I’m in my early forties, but been dealing with chronic pain since my mid twenties. All that to say I’m glad to see others not changing out their soil constantly. I usually repaint my pots every three to four years and my husband helps empty and refill the pots for me. I have 2 acres of landscaped gardens. I hurt myself gardening constantly, but how does one give up their passion?? My depression had almost gotten the better of me until I found gardening. I am constantly at peace in the beauty surrounding me. When I sit in my gazebo in the evening watching the sunset over our back lake with my husband, son and three leg Rottweiler I believe this is what heaven must feel like. We are surrounded by beauty and the geese are splashing in the lake while the horses play in the field. What more could a girl from Kentucky as for 😊
The agave looks very majestic in the urn it definitely makes a statement. It’s perfect.
I really enjoyed the filming of the big black pots, the music was good and not speeding it up was nice to watch!!! I have been watching since the days of your townhouse and I always am still learning about plants I would love to plant at my house 😊 As always way too short, I could have watched forever, but I always think that way when it comes to Garden Answer videos!!
" More grows in the garden than the gardener sows. " ~ Spanish Proverb
When I found you making fairy gardens with a little pond in it years ago, you really inspired me to do more and because I live in such a small area, I have made the side of my yard come alive every spring and summer. Thank you Laura and Aaron because of your channel do you have brought so much happiness to everyone
WOW! Beautiful proverb. Thanks!🌸
The mangavee stands alone. Beautiful ❤
I loved the editing this morning. Beautiful music combined with transitional editing is so much more enjoyable to watch. Sometimes, the fast-forward editing is tiresome.
The manguave is spectacular in the urn, and the black planters will be spectacular.
Wonderful as usual.
I was making my coffee this morning thinking “I really hope Laura starts some containers this morning.” 😁
Love the mangova in that spot !! Like Laura said ..perfect !!!
Can't help but notice how pretty and formal the ARBS are behind you Laura. ❤
Great video today 💕💐💕
Loved the part the where Laura planted cut flower garden planters so peaceful (music and video)
Mangave looks amazing in south garden urn as well
Every time I watch your videos I feel the urge to go out into my garden and get something done. Usually however, time is not on my side. Today, I don’t have to collect my son from school as he’s having an after school play date, so that means gardening time for me!
The Mangave looks amazing too by the way. Super special!
Ok Im off outside now to tackle some weeds and prep my summer pots for the plant shopping at the weekend. Have a great day Laura and family x
I absolutely love the Gaura each time you plant it and Mangave is STUNNING!!!😍😍
Loved this video! I can feel that you are relaxed and enjoying things. Beautifully edited, and I laughed at the "holy moly" 😂😍
This was a beautiful planting day - the music, the sun, the gorgeous flowers and mangave. You were right - that urn was the perfect spot for that stunning mangave! 🤩
That plant in the big urn looks like a beautiful creature with a lot of personality. Just spectacular!
That mangave looks SO dramatic in the urn! Very elegant!
All I could think about was Aaron calling it a killer plant, and you saying, “no, maybe an eye!” Protect those peepers! lol
Haha!
💟Absolutely LOVE purple and white together. Both colors make the other POP! 💟Charlie Dimmock of Garden Rescue has a GREAT TIP for planting Agave. 🪴Wrap the plant with cellophane (Saran Wrap) with leaves pointed upwards toward the sky, then plant the Agave in soil or container. Next simply cut the cellophane from bottom to the top and the Agave leaves fall open without injury to you or the plant. 👍Perfection.
Holy Moly Laura, that Mangave is just gorgeous! 😍
The Mangave looks great just as it is, beautiful. The entry pots will be perfect, you have such a great eye for color and design. I love watching you grow your garden. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day everyone.
Love my guara and love all the volunteers it sends out….fills in empty spaces with lovely whisps of color
Good morning, Laura ☕️I called in sick today to get out in my garden! 🫣🤭 I LOVE😍 the Mangave and must get one! Any one for that matter! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈🐈
Well technically you are sick, sick of work for today....lol except garden work, we all know that's not work, but enjoyment. :) Enjoy your day in your garden.
It would be a shame if your boss is reading this! 😂
Can spend my whole day in the garden!
SMH 🤦🏼♀️ probably a great fibber !!
I save my sick days for gardening as well 😊gardening is the best medicine ❤ ☀️
Hi Laura and Aaron ! Just wanted to comment and say you guys are awesome. I love how professional you are, how sweet and kind your family is and Laura ! I love your modesty and your black shirts ! Thank you for sharing every hint with us you are a wealth of knowledge and a great role model for young women like myself. God bless you, God bless your garden ❤
Great video! I especially liked 4:39-5:29 and 7:46-8:46 because of the slower pace. Gardening is an enjoyable hobby, and I like watching Laura enjoying it. The mangave looks beautiful in that urn!
Beautiful flowers in the containers! So glad you left the lady one by itself, looks awesome ❤️
The Mangave is pretty in that urn but it’s the same color as the elderberry. Kinda blends in.
The Mangauve looks stunning in the container....like it is standing guard in that garden. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to make your video's , I have learned so much from you. 🇨🇦🪴🪴
Always love the container videos!
I'm hoping I'm not your only viewer that would really enjoy more video time watching the actual planting. Your property is so beautiful that the more time we get to view it the better. 😊
The mangave looks great on it's own in the urn. They have such great structure and presence, even the bottom set of leaves just curve perfectly above the lip of the urn. I love how the imprint of the edge of the leaf gets imprinted on the leaf as it unfurls each new leaf. Kudos for letting it stand alone and making a bold statement!🎉💚🌞 Great Choice!🤓🎉❤🎉🎉
Hi Laura & Aaron, I always enjoy your videos. Watching the large planters sequence from today was very lovely. But when you planted the massive dark leaved Mangave right in front of the Black Lace Elderberry I was pleading “No!” It gets lost with no color contrast between them. Love it in the urn, but perhaps move it to another more open spot in your flower bed. Aaron shouldn’t have any problem moving it with his new toy (Bobcat) if he can get in close. But you do you. Keep up the great work inspiring us with all your garden creations.
The plant is perfect for that pot, so majestic. 🙌😍🤩
I love gaura! I have it planted along my driveway, with mixed perennials and knock out roses. It is so whimsy and intermingles with all the plants. It is magical to watch in the breeze.
I totally agree. I had understood that they were perennials, but not in 5b. Expensive annuals!
Your new editing software is nice. The fades in and out and the out of focus backgrounds make your production look fantastic! Of course your garden is well done too. Thanks for your efforts. As someone who has worked in landscaping, these videos are a great way to stay in the loop about the industry. I "retired" a few years ago. So I only maintain my friends gardens. Ha! You never stop but your body tries it hardest to convince you otherwise.
Afternoon Everyone xx
I'm glad you didn't put the lemon coral sedum in the big urn with the mangavi. It's gorgeous on its own
Oh my! That plant in that planter at the last of video is stunning!!😊
Exciting to have warmer weather! I love what you said today. no rush! Enjoy! You have been waiting for this time! Savor the moments and enjoy! Such beautiful plants!! Love, love, love your videos!!
The excitement of spring when nice weather finally arrives! I'm so glad you are not removing all your potting soil anymore. Most US potting soil is made from peat moss harvested in Canada. Peat moss on its own contains very few nutrients so fertilizers, compost, etc are added to turn it into potting soil. Yes, the plants use the nutrients up each season but all you have to do is add them back in every year, as you said. No need to waste all that good soil or spend so much money on fresh soil! It's a win and much better for the planet! 😊
It would be beautiful if had a lovely glass structure over it during the winter too !
I love the Mangavies all by themselves. I have them in a few urns and they do make a statement. They don't need nothing else in the pot with them. They need to shine. Very architectural. I move the whole pot indoors for the winter and put them in my living room and dinning room and they make a huge statement there too. I love them indoors just as much as outdoors. They stand on their own and say, here I am, admire me!
100% agree. They look turn of the century era and add history. They remind me of the 1920's when women wore long strands of pearls, short dresses and smoke 10:06 d❤Their hairstyles were short bobs
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
Lovely video Laura❤ beautifully done with the music the birdsong and the planting of these stunning planters.
The large urn is amazing and I agree it’s what this spot needed.
As I see your south garden taking shape I keep thinking how cool big rocks and groupings of rock would tie things around your property, add fun places to climb and sit for the kids and create habitat for other beneficials. ❤❤❤
Wow that caucus is perfect looks good all by itself.
Let's all watch the ads on June 24 as a "guft" for GA's 10-year anniversary.
That’s such a great idea! 😄 I’m in!!
The piano playing in the background could be Laura playing her piano 😍
Eek! It's so exciting to see you planting summer containers.
☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛☀️💛
I love Love this combination! I’m using bidens, Pink Cashmere and Bordeaux in my large containers! ❤ Also, regarding the gaura … I went to the Magnolia Silos and they used Playin’ the Blues Salvia in the center, white gaura around that, and a low-ish catmint around that… in all their LARGE containers. The combo was perfection and yes, SO ethereal!! The way it swayed in the breeze was heavenly…
@@masterofnone706 I think you meant this for that “different” j & j comment? Whoever they are…😅
It looks like it is trying to climb out of the urn......I love it! Made me laugh and made my day.
The Agave planter is perfect!!! 😍 stunning!
AWESOME. we are left with another week of rain. but boy are things growing.
Love purples and white. I too, prefer subtle colors. But the mangave...wow! it is stunning in that spot! So beautiful!
My goodness that plant is phenomenal. That is truly a show stopper. The oblisks are going to be show stoppers as well. Can't wait. 🦋🦋🐝🐝🪴🪴🌿🌿
Thank you for sharing all of your garden time with us I sincerely learn from every video. Everything is beautiful.
Love the urns and the singing birds. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Oh yes Laura that manganese looks perfect inthat urn, beautiful !!! Dang that spell check !!!
"#&@(*÷%!!!!
I love the focal point structure that brings to the area!
All the flowers are so beautiful. I absolutely love Gaura, I picked me 2 plants out for NY husband for Mother's Day. Lol😂😂, The plant looks so beautiful in the Urn. Great video.❤
Looking out to rain in my part of the UK so watching you planting this Mangave put me in a happy place
That planting was amazing, from a distance it looked like pineapple leaves. Beautiful 🍍🍍🍍
I wish that could garden with raised flowerbeds or vegetable beds would like to grow my own food but it’s 74 I just don’t feel great all the time anymore.
The mangave is a beautiful contrast with the shape and the colors! I wouldn’t have thought to try it but it’s striking!
What a beautiful day for planting beautiful flowers & agave.
The earn looks fantastic. Love all your ideas so inspiring.
Thank you❤❤❤❤
Is that Laura on the piano? I would love to hear little clips of her playing piano while watching her plant. I love the light your entire family gives off. It gives me hope for the world. Your channel is a blessing to us all. Thank you for all you do.
She has said in the past that she would not play the piano on videos.
Wasn’t sure I liked that big spikey plant at first but you made it a perfect focal point!
So fun that it's summer container time!! Now that you've had so many of the same containers for years, I'd love to see a "through the years" review of the different combinations you've tried
I love that mangave plate! Once you put in the pot it reminded me of sideshow Bob from the Simpsons. 😂 Love you channel.
E superb tot ce faci. Te urmăresc cu mare drag în fiecare zi din România. Ești un geniu ❤ ! ...agave stă foarte bine așa fără suculente 😊❤
Gardening is a workout! Laura lifting that heavy plant up into that urn had me wanting to help her….she is strong….
Lovely video and beautiful plantings. Love guara and the mangave looks beautiful in the urn. I love the music that is used in all your videos. I quit watching some RUclips channels and HGTV shows because I can't listen to the type of music they use these days. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home, gardens, and family with us. It is refreshing to watch someone who has such a gentle spirit and is kind and respectful and so knowledgeable. Even though I live in Texas Zone 9 (very high humidity and heavy clay soil-ugh!), I'm still able to learn so much from your videos. I am now physically limited in how much I can do in my landscape, but I get filled by watching you develop such a stunning environment on your property. God bless you and your wonderful family.
Good morning from Delaware Garden Answer friends.
Good afternoon, from Ireland🌳🌱
Good morning I see why your holding on to those containers combination they make such a statement wherever you place them. and the placement today is perfect it’s inviting everyone to take a peaceful walk through the garden thank you momma Laura take care
Good morning! The Mangave looks great in that planter by itself. I’ve always loved the black planters by the entrance to the flower garden. It will be spectacular with those flowers. Love the purples and white. Our weather is just WET! It’s been a very wet Spring. Looking forward to dry weather for an extended period.
the music was the best🌿🌿🌿🪴🌱🪴🪴
All the beautiful plants and colors make me so happy. 💃💃😊
They all look wonderful! I was surprised you didn’t tuck a few white geraniums in the big pots. 😊
The mangave is such a stunning plant on its own especially in the elevated urn planter… thank you Laura for not gilding the lily and thank you for inspiring us all to garden!
I'm in the mood for some container planting. I look forward to seeing what you do in the driveways pots.
Hi Laura and Aaron! The planters will be so pretty, but I have to agree with other commenters that the mangave doesn't show up when viewed in front of the black lace elderberry, but is ok from the side. Thank you so much for sharing!
the planters are going to be stunning.. i love guara, and so happy i found the pink one to add to my little drift out front... and that mangave! oh my word, with the black lace elderberry behind it, the colors are gorgeous.. and it's kind of a surprise twist in the structure of your garden.. it's perfection! i do love the lemon sedum next to it so hopefully that works out with the others you have to plant... what a fun day!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Cute short video. The planters look great. The urn looks so unique. Thanks again for sharing this with us. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Love 💕 the container. Looks like a pineapple
This video was the most fun and full of great ideas! You introduced me to the great color contrast of coral sedum and dusty miller in the garden, now I can’t do without them! The big square pots are brilliant too!
Thank you Laura agave grow so huge and love up here in our mid north coast of nsw Australia ! They don’t need any attention and Stand out on their Own 🙌 perfect in the Urn ❤ we don’t get snow where I am or frost so they are suited for our tempered tropical climate 😉Karen 👒🌱😻🐈⬛from the land down under
I was thinking the same thing about the lovely music and our lovely Laura go so nicely together!!! And the man gave was STELLAR IDEA IN THAT URN!!! WAY COOL! Love you guys! Glad ur was a bit more comfortable today than it was yesterday! ♥️👩🌾♥️
I must admit, the dark leaves of the mangave against the light colored pot is beautiful. The placement is perfect. It stands like a sentinel among the other plantings. As nice a contrast as the lemon sedum is, the simplicity of the mangave alone is perfect. I always like to see what you plant those large black pots. I just bought a large obelisk at an auction. You have spurred my imagination and now I have an idea how to use it. Great video! The two of you are an amazing team!
Perfect scale for that pot. Great choice using the mangave!
It’s time to plant supertunias!!!! I’m so excited.
Where is the signature sweet potato vine?! Just kidding 😊 I love seeing the new arrangement-inspo for my planters this year! Long time viewer, thank you for sparking my love for gardening ❤
