I always had low health with this fight (atleast in the termite place in the collesium) so i grinded to the point where it would level me up after the second round with the foe’s , thus fully healing me for the mothavia & zasp rematch
This theme for me was so epic and memorable because I didn't expect Mothiva and Zasp to come outta nowhere and beating them one last time is so satisfying especially Mothiva cause you finally teach her a lesson
@@Mimiro-m2g ACTUALLY, in the in-game collectable lore books they explain that after the great awakening that gave the insects their intelligence, many bugs also gained hands including fingers, and that its actually a sign of being a lesser bug (non-sentient) if you don't have hands, so its actually entirely possible that zasp could lay ten fingers on you
Wish this had played for the first Mothiva fight as well. Don’t get me wrong, I love the regular boss theme and everything, but there are some real bangers that we only get to hear once the whole game. The Spider boss theme, Mothiva’s boss theme, etc. This theme could’ve been played for both the times you fight her, and “Don’t Call him Spuder” could’ve played for the Peacock Spider too or something.
For all the times you interact with Mothiva, I almost wish you could do more for Samira and eventually help her usurp Mothiva's position. If the developers really wanted to be evil, they would have drawn up a long side story where Zasp, fed up with his treatment under Mothiva, would eventually leave her for Samira.
I assume the point is that you come to this fight after two battles, one of them being a mini boss, and that's where the difficulty lies but... I was lucky enough to gain a level up right before this fight so I was at full health
Not gonna lie, having Kabbu, the nicest member of Team Snakemouth absolutely, positively lose his mind against Mothiva was perhaps one of my favorite moments in the whole game. It was literally the last thing I expected.
Kabuu going off on her followed by beating her and Zasp up again was so very satisfying. I wish I had remembered to equip hard mode for this. Curse my forgetfulness!
I died to the second mothiva fight more times than any other boss. Because when i got to termite city, i had no money or items and i refused to go all the way back to ant kingdom and i had no idea where the tunnel was. So i had low health and tp going into this fight. Took me about ten attempts to get past her.
The fun thing is that during the first fight against these two I focused down Mothiva first. The second time, I focused down Zasp and had Mothiva keep wasting turns rezzing him. XD Meant that I got less of his buffed damage, haha.
It’s kinda funny how the scouts for all 3 characters say you should probably focus on Mothiva first while being cautious of Zasp going insane with the buffs. Despite the fact it’s so much easier to just focus of just Zasp first.
i suffered so much in the primal weevil boss fight so when he appeared in the arena i was like "NO NOT THIS AGAIN" then mothiva and zasp appeared and i though it'd be easier how wrong i was
Love how Kabbu just loses his shit on Mothiva for potentially ruining their one chance to reach the Wasp King because she’s a glory hog and Mothiva’s just like “lol ok whatever”, loved Chapter 6
Never gonna forget Kabbu completely _going off_ on her. The only other thing that's ever managed that _killed his previous friends_ for Venus' sake. It was _so_ satisfying to watch, and even more to completely delete her immediately afterwards.
I love the whole “counter-explorer” thing. It just makes the game so much better than already how good it was before. I’m just sad it wasn’t used in the battle itself.
me, the whole time, on the verge of tears: king, no... please, you can do so much better... please, there is someone out there really worth simping for, and the best part? if they're the one they will not want you to simp for them. king, please...
At first this fight wasn't too hard(I'm playing in normal mode), and then Mothiva brought Zasp back to life and I realized I had just wasted a lot of my ressources. So, Leif died, then Mothiva, then Kabbu, and after that Zasp had 7 hp left, while Vi had three. I used a spider item I had gotten from the tarantula wizard tower, which did 6 damage. Zasp attacked Vi twice. I had the back protection medal equipped or however it's called, and I parried both of his attack perfecly, so they did only one damage each. Which means I won the battle with exacly one hp left, on my first try. This whole battle was hilarious, with the termites cheering and everything. As for the track, this is probably my favorite boss music yet.
yep, annihilated mothiva first thing with a coked up berserker vi, finished this fight so quickly I didnt really even have chance to hear this song past the first 20 seconds. It's nice.
This was a pretty close fight for me... That is until after the fight I noticed that I still had a Queens dinner along with a little over half of my items (I don't remember what they were) meaning I wasn't in any danger of dying at all.
I saw the dev's art where both of them hugging each other in the fandom wiki. The dev even pointed out that they married, lived happily ever after and died of old ages.

Not really, it is a rival like Jr. Troopa but to compare him to Mothiva and Zasp would be unfair since you only fought them twice, while Jr. Troopa had triple that amount. Would have been great to fight Mothiva at least one other time, maybe in the Honey Factory or Rubber Prison.
Have you ever noticed that when you knockout zasp, and mothiva doesn't resurrect you, one of her attacks is LITERALLY A KICK IN THE NUTS AND IF YOU DON'T DEFEND IT, SHE STEPS UP THREE TIMES WITH A MALEPHIC ZOOM
in the second battle, this happens regardless of killing zasp
This cracked me up so hard while playing
Best attack in the game
Clapping Mothiva in front of a large crowd was very satisfying.
I remember when everyone was cheering for Team Snakemouth, I played the Seinfield theme and the second time everyone cheered for team Snakemouth I played the clip where the guy was laughing at Dick Tangler
interesting
understandable.

I was a bit worried that she and Zasp would only be fought the once in Chapter 2, even though they gave off recurring boss vibes. Thankfully they showed up for one more round in Chapter 6.
Funny thing is, there was a planned third fight with them that was scraped.
@@din_5817 I wonder if they replaced it with the Ahoneynation boss. I swore they were gonna be fought in Chapter 3.
Ya know, I remember at some point Zasp said he was with Mothiva mostly for her, but also for some other reason... I wonder what that other reason was.
I think part of it was him wanting to prove his worth, either to face the Wasp King (he said he abandoned his people because he didn't like what they were doing) or to prove himself as just as strong or stronger than Team Snakemouth.
I’m pretty sure the creators said Mothiva and Zasp are in a relationship

I just got that the title of this song is a double entendre, which made me like this song even more than I already did.
I don’t get it
@@lasagna3289 It's called "Mothiva's Grand Stand" because she's making her last and greatest stand against you, but "Grandstanding" is also a term that means seeking to attract and steal attention from a crowd, which is exactly what she's doing.

@Maria Flores :D ayyyyy!
I love this theme it’s such a bop. I also think it fits Mothiva very well especially the violin part around 1:09.

My strategy for this fight was freezing Zasp so he couldn’t get triggered when I attacked Mothiva
I just killed zasp, he revived with enough hp to get downed in 1 attacks so it was ezpz killing mothiva without zasp freaking out
moffatt That’s what I did for the first fight.
I’ve yet to see this battle though.
I used fly drop a couple times on Mothiva for that sweet sweet 10 damage
My strategy was spamming multi hit attacks with a +1 attack Vi
then again that's my strategy for every battle
same shit with killing zasp, except I could only kill him in two, so the second turn (4 health where kabu is doing 3 and the other two are doing 1 to zasp) kabu and vi attack zasp, kill him, then attempt a freeze on mothiva so I have an extra turn to end her, rinse and repeat.
I always had low health with this fight (atleast in the termite place in the collesium) so i grinded to the point where it would level me up after the second round with the foe’s , thus fully healing me for the mothavia & zasp rematch

Who is Samira ?

I died to the second mothiva fight more times than any other boss. Because when i got to termite city, i had no money or items and i refused to go all the way back to ant kingdom and i had no idea where the tunnel was. So i had low health and tp going into this fight. Took me about ten attempts to get past her.
This game was just so gooooood
This song actually plays if you refight the two in the BOSS machine during chapter 6, even before you refight them in the story.
The fun thing is that during the first fight against these two I focused down Mothiva first. The second time, I focused down Zasp and had Mothiva keep wasting turns rezzing him. XD Meant that I got less of his buffed damage, haha.
I just fished for freezes on Zasp so I could handle Mothiva peacefully
It’s kinda funny how the scouts for all 3 characters say you should probably focus on Mothiva first while being cautious of Zasp going insane with the buffs. Despite the fact it’s so much easier to just focus of just Zasp first.
Battle Against a True Rival
i loved this song, very upbeat and it encapsulates Mothiva's personality so well

Tbh id disagree, the primal weevil was pretty annoying and this battle (imo) is more fair
i was taken off guard when i missed a block casing leif to get kicked in the air, and then proceed to get curb stomped
Low-key bopper. Love this song!
Love how Kabbu just loses his shit on Mothiva for potentially ruining their one chance to reach the Wasp King because she’s a glory hog and Mothiva’s just like “lol ok whatever”, loved Chapter 6
Heavy Glitz pit vibes, I mean, taking on your rival out of nowhere in a huge coliseum? Love this game.
Really Zasp? Get up!
I like to believe that the subtlety that kicks through the middle part of the song in represents Zasp and his calmer demeanor outside of battles
Mothiva's theme is so great to listen, and dance, to! As some would say, it's such a bop!

This was a pretty close fight for me... That is until after the fight I noticed that I still had a Queens dinner along with a little over half of my items (I don't remember what they were) meaning I wasn't in any danger of dying at all.
