Yes! They had kanekalon hair, a different, more thinner type that the one is used for wigs, and if you wash it with hair conditioner, it gets soooo more soft and with beautiful movement.
I enjoy the Dolls of the world. They may seem a bit antiquated and not every costume brings out the best in the doll, but I wish we would get some form of contemporary version of this. In the end they are well made and the fact that there were many waves makes it fun to collect them.
The barbie from 1964 I’ve been trying to find her.. I can’t believe you showed her.. my mom had her an it burned up in a house fire. Omg I really want to find one. But I love your videos.. stay safe an take care!
I honestly love the DOTW series. Theyre diverse, unique and embraces cultural differences. Im in the mid of collecting the Princesses Collection from the series and plans to extend to the whole series itself. So much love. ❤
I remember wanting to have that Puerto Rican Barbie because her dress was so beautiful. But of course we did not get her in Colombia. She is such a beautiful doll. 🥰
I'm a Barbie Boy! xD Most of my collection are Barbies from the 90's and before, although I doo love Rainbow High Dolls, which are my favorite actual dolls right now... But I love that most 90's Barbies had short stories in the back of their boxes to make a complete fantasy of the doll you had, something I miss these days from Barbie!
Wait, Americans sold 'French costume' barbie wearing a Moulin Rouge- can can type dress😂 Totally agree on the feather, sad what's on the Na Na Na doll & love watching you, a talking, living barbie!
You are one of the doll creators that inspired me to start my channel !! Thanks for collecting these adorable dolls - I recently have been looking more and more at 80s 90s Barbie’s and loooving them !!
YOU HAVE A SELENA DOLL!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! omg they r sooo expensive on eBay!!!!! i had one when i was little but omg it went with my other dolls off into the oblivion of unknown... god i miss her!!!!!
The quality of the circus barbie is incredible, the fabrics and detail is something we don't get today. Shame that it's about quantity not quality today
I enjoy watching videos of people's Barbie collection, so I truly enjoyed your video. I also am a Barbie collector, but I never go over 100 Barbies due to storage in a home. I have my Barbies on the top shelves in my library, and on the bottom selves are my books. You have a great collection. Thank you for sharing with us collectors.
As a 90s baby, 90s barbies are my favorite! I grew up with them and feel they were more fantasy, and quality back then compared to now. I feel like 90s barbies captured fairytale barbies for me more than the dolls today. BTW I'm enjoying the barbie videos as I'm a barbie girl over monster high. Monster high wasn't part of my childhood and I've never seen their shows. Barbie has been around though and feels more personal to me.
Omg I loved the my favorite Barbie series when she turned 50..it was probably the most life changing because I was 10 and I kinda wasn’t liking playline Barbie at all but then my dad took me to the library and I found out about Barbie in the 60s from a book and I instantly became obsessed and then that week my dad took me to toysRus and I was literally so ecstatic. When I saw that reproductions exist..and the 09 repros are so top notch quality..I had the wig wardrobe,1959,American girl,Peaches n Cream, black Barbie and Twist n turn Barbie
I totally enjoyed your presentation. Very well done. Your selection of the dolls you feature was incredible and very enjoyable to watch. The quality of dolls from that.was just incredible. The FAO Schwarz dolls are often overlook but are among the most gorgeous. Many thanks for a great presentation.😊
I have some of the Classique Barbie's, I'd like to get the two you have. I have the Waltz dolls. I have almost all of the Dolls of the World Barbie's. I'm missing the 'newest' Amazon Barbie and Big Ben Barbie. I have some of the reproduction dolls. My mom, and I'm showing my age here, bought me a red head bubble cut Barbie in 1962 for Christmas. I kept her for a long time. When I moved from Hawaii to the mainland I gave away all my dolls and the 1979 Barbie Dream House. I regretted it but listened to everyone, friends and family, tell me I needed to 'grow up' and get rid of my dolls. I can't get the Dream House for a reasonable price, but I was able to purchase a red headed Bubble Cut Barbie in good condition for a good price. So I have my very first Barbie back in my collection. I started collecting the dolls again in 1995 with the Holiday Barbie for that year. In recent years I've found Barbie collectors on RUclips and now I don't feel so alone. 🙂. I have the reproduction Fashion Queen Barbie, then found a vintage nude doll on Ebay at a good price. I love buying the vintage wigs for her. It was much cheaper to get them years ago, but they've gotten more expense. I've been able to get the pieces and the wigs that went with the 1964 Barbie Color and Curl set. I had an extra Fashion Quenn and put the Midge head on that body. The molded hair Midge head only came in that set. I bought the 1964 doll that you have. I didn't have the original. My sister had the 1959 Barbie. I wasn't able to get her until they had the reproduction in 1993. 🙂. I have some of my own dolls pictured on my Flicker page www.flickr.com/photos/kleiasphotos/albums/72157677283244586. I do have a thing about changing their clothes and trying their clothes on other dolls. 🙂
I mostly collect American Girl dolls but I played with barbies in the seventies. When you just brought up the superstar Barbie it lit a light bulb in my head. I will have to look for that now. All of my barbies were stolen in the 90's from my storage. I was saving them for my daughter someday so I will never get over that, but I collected American Girl dolls with my daughter and now I'm an adult AG collector in my early fifties :)
Ugggh.. I HAD started collecting in the 90's with the Dolls of the World, Royal Jewel Collection, Holiday dolls, and even had one Mackie (Neptune)! Kept them in boxes displayed in my room. My little sister opened them all when I was out and the babysitter wasn't watching her! lol I wasn't quite making that much $ yet so couldn't buy them all again. I LOVED DOTW! The national/folk clothing was great and to have variety, culture, and diversity back then?!! I don't recall other lines like that back then. Loved collecting the annual beach sets too; they used to come out with all of Barbie's friends: Midge, Christie, Teresa, Kira in groups, but one was always missing! lol. I missed when she had named friends that came out in groups like that. Eventually gave those old 90's dolls away to my sisters back then and others to my friends' kids and took a long break from dolls in 2000 due to life's issues and came back to them in 2010 when I saw Barbie Basics in a mall display. Now I have over 400 Barbies (all of Fashionistas and Model Muse dolls)... and am now a new Rainbow High addict too. I don't have as much in-box designer or platinum dolls as I'm an opener and don't collect for value's sake.... so I should've just kept those opened 90's dolls! 😁 Great vid - takes me back to some nostalgic times. You have such a great collection! p.s. I think I still have some of those magazines somewhere! haha
I just bought the "bed time" barbie & the bigger "pretty dreams" barbie! Both in box, brand new with old price tags. I had the bed time barbie as a kid & i loved her. I slept with her all the time. I didn have the bigger one as a kid, but I'm so happy to have her now
Hi there. LOVE the variety of your favourite dolls that you shared with us! The Bed Time Barbie is sooo cute! I am a HUGE fan of Barbie too!! Great sharing. Keep uploading! BIG LIKE💖💖
G’day mate. I collect Barbies too. But only the tv, movie and celebrity ones. OH, and a BIG shoutout from Australia by the way. But I don’t play with them neither. They stay in their boxes and I put them in my private toy museum. I keenly collect a lot of other vintage tv & movie toys too. I love it. Been doing it for 30 years now. Won’t stop. My most prized dolls are the set of vintage Matchbox ABBA 10” dolls. I got the four in original costumes and instruments. But not in boxes. They’re clean and crisp condition too.Mega rare. Love your vids too.See ya.🇦🇺👍🤪😁☮️
I collect mostly 60s dolls but have some others too.Have over 600. i do have bedtime barbie and the bed set .I also have the original Busy gal and the reproduction. That particular repro has jumped in value. Also have silken flame original and reproduction. The reprodutions are wonderful.
Hello from Connecticut 🙋♀️ I recently discovered your channel and I’m a huge Barbie fan!! I’m 51 and grew up playing with the glam doll!! Of course my years of choice that I love 💕 Barbie were from the mid 70s when I was a lil girl and started playing with her. Until the early 80s when I started growing up and packed her away😢. I don’t have a lot of room so I only have repurchased 2 18 inch dolls from my childhood. Supersize Barbie and Tiffany Taylor. Have you ever seen Tiffany Taylor? Her scalp twists so you can have her either brunette or blonde. I loved Barbies of the 70s the most. Superstar Barbie is superb!!!! 💕💕💕💕
I have the Peruvian doll from the dolls of the world collection, and to me it’s not like ‘offensive’ because while she’s dressed in a costume that would be typically portrayed as a Peruvian costume I just love that there’s a barbie that celebrates and is from that culture and it means the world to me ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for bringing out the older dolls. I hope this video does well, and you can make a series. I have recently started collecting again after 20 years, and I see I have missed lots of good stuff. So, for me, showing dolls from the 90s to around 2015 is ideal. I love that Circus Star doll! There is a Bob Mackie Circus doll that is gorgeous, but that one is very rare and very expensive. Oh, if you have any Mackies, that would be a nice video too.
Hi doll circle my favorite dolls from when I was little were the Wizard of Oz dolls they had Dorthy, tinman, scarcrow, lion and Glinda the good witch along with the smaller muckin dolls the mayor of muckin land, the lollipop boy and then then the ballerina muckin doll. One thing too is that Dorothy talked and her feed lit up for her Rudy red slippers an then Glinda the good witch talked as well with buttons I believe on their chest. I then also love the movie dolls from the Barbie and the nutcracker,Barbie as repunizel, princess and the popper and a few other Barbie movie dolls I loved.
I have some of those reproduction Barbies (Silken Flame, Busy Gal and the 50th anniversary 1959 Barbie). I do want to complete those reproductions series because the vintage sculpt and the 80s-90s sculpts are my favorites. I remember being a kid in the 90s and seeing the bed time Barbie (I remember I did not care for that doll at all lol) and the Dolls of the World in stores. I used to admire the Dolls of the World every time I went to the store but, they used to cost $24.99 at Target lol and that was too much money for me at the time. I have been watching your channel since 2014 and I can't remember if you ever did a collection video about your mother's collection. I think it would be awesome to see it!
I own none of these dolls because I'm not an adult doll collector I'm a kid doll collector, but most of these are cute It really reminds you how much barbie has changed. BTW I LOVE your channel doll circle! 😍😘😗
I have the Puerto Rican doll and I totally agree the Teresa mold in the Puerto Rican doll is beautiful and I am very happy that Barbie made that doll because I am Puerto Rican myself.
I've been collecting dolls off and on since around 2008, I've got 64 dolls in my collection (give or take 1 or 2) and I haven't got a single Barbie, but I used to have so many barbies as a child. My dad threw them away when I was about 12 and I think that's probably why I collect dolls these days, the memories that I have of being so happy with them as a child.
Omg! The Classique doll in the pink gown is GORGEOUS! She's my fave of the video. I have the 50th Anniversary repro: First Black Barbie, the black and white bathing suit and the brunette bubble cut. Great video.
I miss my large bedtime barbie so much. I have no idea what happened to mine. I loved her dearly. I'd say my crown jewels of my collection is my King of Crystal Cave ken, 1986 Rocker barbie, and my Dolls of the world Queen of the Nile/Egyptial doll.
I have the silk and flame Barbie but she’s blonde I had know idea they had a brunette one, my mom got her for me when I was I think think 6 year old and I love the 60s fashion so much🥰
@15:05 Lol, that's what I do now. I thought I was the only one who did this. Go to Ebay, buy cheaper NIB collector dolls and put their clothes on other dolls. I like to put other fashion dolls on Barbie Made to Move Bodies so I can dress them in all these beautiful gowns and detailed clothing. xD I was surprised at how cheap some of these vintage Barbies are. The 90s and early 2000s ones are my favorite too. The pink Japanese Barbie NIB was only 7 dollars on Ebay and her kimono is better quality than the clothing they put on collector Barbies nowadays. I love the Dolls of the World series too. Especially the Princesses of the World.
Great video! Right now I'm retired and I have a huge collection I must part with. I do have dolls of the world series from I believe 80s and 90s, designer series, porcelins, one of a kind promotions. I want to sell as a vintage collectable not a toy. Any suggestions? I just don't know how to network with serious collectors. Thanks so much for your video, it's exactly what I needed to see.
My mom was born in the late 60s so she had a bunch of 70s barbies and her sister would sew her dolls clothes. And I want to get my mom a couple of hers she remembers. Like Dramatic New Living Barbie LITERSLLY HAS THE CUTEST FACE TOO LIKE WHAT
Hi Elvira I would appreciate more videos like this if possible to show more that you have so you don't have to pick favourites. Also did you ever collect the Barbie in India doll series or the expression of India dolls? I have been trying to collect some of them but very difficult to find all of them where I live
I have the secret hearts Barbie and decided to take her out of her package because of the yellowing. There's just something so magical about the 90s Barbies. Now that we're older, they may seem excessive, but you don't see that type of fantasy in today's Barbies. So sad.
I'm not a big doll collector but a HUGE BARBIE & KEN FAN. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ❣️😍 SO REFRESHING TO BE EDUCATED ON THE STORY OR SERIES OF THE DOLL. LOVED BARBIE IN THE EARLY 60S 80S AND 90S. GORGEOUS ❤️🥰 YASSSS DRAG QUEENS WERE INSPIRED BY MOST OF THE VINTAGE ERA DRESSED WHEN WOMEN DRESSED MORE FEMININE (NOT THAT YHERES NOTHING WRONG WITH TODAY'S WOMANS FASHION) BUT I GUESS EVEN THE MEN AND MEN WERE MORE REFINED AND PUT MORE TIME AND EFFORT WHEN LEAVING THE HOUSE. KEEP POSTING I LOVE YOUR LOVE FOR DOLLS!!!
If I could go back in time to when they had the through the decades reproductions in stores, I would get duplicates of all of them. Unfortunately I only got peaches and cream, but I want a reproduction of the redhead twist n turn!!
Do you remember the feeling of the Barbies hair it was like cotton it was so soft and so fluffy
Yes, too bad the newer ones are not like that
@@TheDollCircle I know it used to be such nice quality
Yes! They had kanekalon hair, a different, more thinner type that the one is used for wigs, and if you wash it with hair conditioner, it gets soooo more soft and with beautiful movement.
Yes! I love the 90s era dolls - their hair was so much better
You could brush it against your fingers to get curls!! Ugh
I miss when Mattel cared about Barbie and gave her Quality and style. I wish Mattel would remake fashion Avenue and bring back Kelly dolls
I loved fashion avenue!
I enjoy the Dolls of the world. They may seem a bit antiquated and not every costume brings out the best in the doll, but I wish we would get some form of contemporary version of this. In the end they are well made and the fact that there were many waves makes it fun to collect them.
Honestly I would mind watching a 5 hour video. I can't have enough of this. All those barbie dolls are gorgeous.
Make more videos like this, pleaseeeeeee
I love watching someones collections and Talking about them, even 5 hours videos
The barbie from 1964 I’ve been trying to find her.. I can’t believe you showed her.. my mom had her an it burned up in a house fire. Omg I really want to find one. But I love your videos.. stay safe an take care!

I remember wanting to have that Puerto Rican Barbie because her dress was so beautiful. But of course we did not get her in Colombia. She is such a beautiful doll. 🥰
I do remember when I was young barbie is really iconic. I can afforded to buy one but now I still loved barbie
Exactly, loved those stories on the boxes and how vintage barbies were more detailed and pretty💗
I’d love to see a video with your mom talking about doll collecting!
Barbie is Barbie. The state of her right now is what is it, but no one can take away from us the memories and these masterpieces!
Wait, Americans sold 'French costume' barbie wearing a Moulin Rouge- can can type dress😂 Totally agree on the feather, sad what's on the Na Na Na doll & love watching you, a talking, living barbie!
Nice to see there is still some Barbie fans out there :)
You are one of the doll creators that inspired me to start my channel !! Thanks for collecting these adorable dolls - I recently have been looking more and more at 80s 90s Barbie’s and loooving them !!
I have one and only one favorite Barbie of all time and that’s Peaches N Cream Barbie from the 80s. She’s the Ultimate Barbie IMO. 😊👏🏻❤️
Second in line, the original Barbie and the Rockers dolls... all of them! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Omg that circus barbie!! Love it! I've seen probably every Barbie, and I've never seen that one before. Thanks for sharing!!
I enjoy watching videos of people's Barbie collection, so I truly enjoyed your video. I also am a Barbie collector, but I never go over 100 Barbies due to storage in a home. I have my Barbies on

Omg I just did a Barbie collection on my channel
My favorite era of Barbie too! The hair, the clothes, the adorable faces 🥺 love 90s barbies so much
Yess, loving that you like drag!!!
Have seen ever season! So amazing
I’m loving the uk season 2 right now, I think it’s better than the first one.
I had one doll of the world Barbie. It was the Moroccan Barbie. She was very pretty. I still have her in my collection.
You should do a weekly series until you show us your whole collection 🥰
great idea
I totally enjoyed your presentation. Very well done.
Your selection of the dolls you feature was incredible and very enjoyable to watch. The quality of dolls from that.was just incredible. The FAO Schwarz dolls are often overlook but are among the most gorgeous. Many thanks for a great presentation.😊
I love the Barbies of the World as well. I have both the Australian dolls, being an Aussie, they were just must-haves for me.
Oh EMMM GEEE! That Barbie look of yours is so Beautiful and Flawless! You could definitely do cosplay for sure my love :) , so pretty!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY I HAVE 80'S BARBIE DOLLS TOO LOVE DAVID
thank you for sharing! Would love to see another update of other dolls you have that you love.

Lol!! That was so so funny,” are we going to do a show in Vegas “ 😂😂
I have all of My Favorite from the 50th Anniversary. That was a great birthday year for her.
Secret Hearts Barbie was one of (if not the first) Barbies I ever had!!!
I would totally watch more videos like this!

Love!!! 😍 I’ve gotten back into Barbies too! Just this past week. 🙈 lol
Me too 😭
Two months for me. After 20 years. I think it's partly COVID and the psychological and lifestyle changes it has brought to most people.
Hi there. LOVE the variety of your favourite dolls that you shared with us! The Bed Time Barbie is sooo cute! I am a HUGE fan of Barbie too!! Great sharing. Keep uploading! BIG LIKE💖💖
I had peaches and cream when I was little and loved her so much I wish I still had her 😍. Love the channel 💖
Peaches and cream from the 80s was my first barbie doll. I still get happy when I see her anywhere on these channels.
I love all of your Barbies. They're all pretty.
love them all!
My Bedtime Barbie's eyes are in a permanent state of half-sleep, half-waking. I'd like to think she's stuck in some kind of dream limbo.

Retro dolls outfits were so gorgeous!
i feel like a good way to bring back the dolls of the world series would be to collaborate with designers from the region
I have the Secret Heart. I really loved her as a kid. I remember the whole thing with the ice lol
Circus Star has been on my wishlist.
Love the dolls-and you could be a hand or face model! Love 90s dolls!
Please make more videos like this

Nice Collection. My Favorites are My 90s, Polly Pocket And Troll Vintage Barbies!
Loved seeing all of these dolls. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing! 😄
I have the Peruvian doll from the dolls of the world collection, and to me it’s not like ‘offensive’ because while she’s dressed in a costume that would be typically portrayed as a Peruvian costume I just love that there’s a barbie that celebrates and is from that culture and it means the world to me ❤️❤️❤️

oh secret Hearts !she is one of the most beautiful to me ❤️❤️
i had the Secret Hearts couple and their carriage, i didnt have the Puerto Rican doll but that Teresa mold was my favourite.
I have the Puerto Rican doll and I totally agree the Teresa mold in the Puerto Rican doll is beautiful and I am very happy that Barbie made that doll because I am Puerto Rican myself.
Can u do a part two video it would be cool to see the other Barbies u have
I've been collecting dolls off and on since around 2008, I've got 64 dolls in my collection (give or take 1 or 2) and I haven't got a single Barbie, but I used to have so many barbies as a child.
I’m loving all your Barbie videos❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
~crackle crackle~ barbies hair today
That is very stunning😝lol
Y love so much you channel and you 😘😘 and y love so moch barbie Secrets Hearta
The large soft bodied one was called Pretty Dreams Barbie from 1995! I love her too and happily got her on ebay a week ago😊
I’ve been waiting for this video for like forever!!! Please more retro Barbie content!!! 💕💕💕💕
Awe I don’t have any of these what an amazing collection so fun to see these. I can’t even pick a favorite too many stunning ones 👍👍👍
THE DOLL CIRCLE DID YOU GET ALL 3 RAPUNZEL BARBIE DOLLS LOVE DAVID
I did have the bedtime Barbie with the soft body as a kid. I also had the Arctic one from the around the world Barbies :)
Great quality. From ANN
I have a bunch of dolls of the world. I have many Native American dolls from the late 90’s.
I Miss "Barbie Bazaar" magazine!
OMG ! I love Ken.
I have the silk and flame Barbie but she’s blonde I had know idea they had a brunette one, my mom got her for me when I was I think think 6 year old and I love the 60s fashion so much🥰
I loved that circus star barbie so much I bought one from Amazon.
The reproductions are gorgeous! :D
I love my Dolls of the world Barbies, a Mexican and an Australian.
I HAVE 8 OF THESE DOLLS AND AM THINKING TO SELLING THEM, HOW DO I DO THIS
@15:05 Lol, that's what I do now.
I love the circus barbie.
The retro ones are actually really nice!
We need more videos like this from you. In the future maybe a collab with Trixie Mattel?
I would love to collab with Trixie!
That would be amazing 🤞🤞🤞
Yassssssss please!!
@@TheDollCircle Maybe someone will mention it to her.
I have the Silken Flame Barbie still in the box too!
My mom owns Barbie as Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra in the box.
I have the one on the left it’s a nice doll the jacket is really soft
I have that exact silken flame!
I loved dolls of the world too, I only had the Polynesian one tho
