What made the timeline explode into pieces was Zelena encountering an alternate version of Hansel and Gretel. I can understand the new Blind Witch being from another realm but two versions of Hansel and Gretel existing at once is absolutely ridiculous. And then there's the whole Rapunzel/Lady Tremaine/Victoria Belfrey nonsense she’s a walking identity crisis. Not to mention there are two versions of Alice like wow clearly when it came to season 7 none of the writers spoke to each other and rewatched the show to get a better understanding of what to do.
The old guy from Up took the hand of Captain Hook and created Mr Hyde. I don't think some stories having alternate versions makes it any more confusing than it already is by then
Once Upon a Time really turned the fairytales upside down. No matter how much we thought we knew about the original versions of the stories, the show found ways to surprise us and kept us guessing and wanting more. Thank you for putting this together. I’m currently on my 1st rewatch of the show and needed a quick refresh of what had happened in chronological order. Regina's father was a Prince, he had the funds, the influence and the ability to get Regina away from Cora but he didn't, he let Cora bully and damage her and then had the audacity to ask Regina to do the right thing when he couldn't do the one thing he was supposed to do, protect his child.
Cora was the perfect evil, manipulator and so much more. Henry didn‘t had any powers at all, and even though he was a Prince, if you live with a wife like Cora you try your best to find a middle way. He couldn‘t get Regina away. Cora would have found her with her magic and made Henry and Regina pay for it. Or even if Henry would have told Cora to stop treating Regina like this, she wouldn‘t have listened.
@@mercury3030 he had the resources to get protection in the form of guards and magic or having her imprisoned. Using her power as an excuse to defend his lack of parenting and cowardice is just pathetic.
@@felicitymorris5548 The guards there where powerless and you saw how strong Cora was. You couldn‘t just buy magic for unlimited time. One hand move and they are dead. Cora learned from the best. Imprisoning a powerful ‚witch‘ would take more then guards and magic Henry possibly accquired from Rumple. And I‘m still wondering if Rumple would have backstabbed Cora with their history 🤔
@@mercury3030 did you watch the show? Because there were protection spells that last, as well as magical items, including the squid ink that trapped Rumple in his cell. Rumple would absolutely have helped, especially given the prophecy about it being Cora's daughter that cast the curse and Cora's betrayal.
I’m pretty sure the Once Upon a Time crew intended for the Ariel/Jasmine team up to happen after Regina gave her legs and voice back, but forget that Eric was in Storybrooke at the time, and that if that were the case, Ariel would’ve known he was there instead of Agrabah
I think the whole intrigue about the Count of Mont Cristo happened after Regina's recent banishment et first conversation with Rumple telling her she can hurt the Charmings. Except she wants to try other plans before quitting and trying to move everyone in another realm, that's why she hires the Count and that's why Rumple repeats her the information (which still remains weird... why losing your time informing *again* Regina that she got better options -and why does Regina lose her time trying other options when she got better ones ?)...
The thing is the scene in the banishment episode where Rumple reminds her of the curse ties directly into the Pilot because Regina goes to Snow and David's wedding immediately after and threatens them telling them she would destroy everyone's happiness. So the Count of Monte Cristo episode has to take place before that.
The parts that got changed have a tiny note in the video. I just wanted to keep what happened in the original timeline bc otherwise that would have been left out completely
The Aurora plot hole is explained: When Regina casted the dark curse the rest of the fairytale kingdom that was shielded by Cora was in a sleeping spell of there own until Emma broke the curse

This must have taken some time. The show was good overall. Just so many different stories at once made it convoluted. They should have done what the flash did from season 6 or 7.. make smaller arcs so the stories don't get bunched together
however belle and rumple's story is not so old. regina took her to prevent that they can break the curse, with a kiss of true love. so it happens a few days/weeks before emma's birth
