Gordon lies like a rug lol. And it's the type of lie where he's even deceiving himself, making believe he did nothing wrong. He's like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar, it's great. Love this whole thing SOOOO much! Moments between Charlie and Henry are so sweet too.
I've read Henry's redemption arc so many times, but this version made me all giddy with excitement once again. This has the right amount of sarcasm, the right amount of funny and the right amount of inspiring. These retellings keep on getting better and better. Also, Charlie is my new favorite driver character.
I love how the first thing Gordon said to Charlie when he said he could die was "No, I'm too famous to die." Gordon, buddy, that's not how death works.....
Never in a million years would I have thought to sequence these stories the way you have, but the sheer intelligence of sad story of Henry to set up Thomas' grouchiness and then using Gordon pulling Thomas to set up Gordon bursting his safety valve is just next level clever! Absolutely fantastic
At 1:43 I just realized your effort and true talent at voice acting, you managed to have a character impersonating another character (which are both played by yourself) and still have the character impersonating another character still sound like themselves is no easy feat.
Gordon is Tony Stark because he’s crazy famous, a diva, has an incredible legacy with the Gresley family and a massive ego. Thomas is Peter Parker because he’s young, Impatient, cocky, and wants to do more in life, but he knows he has a responsibility to upkeep. And Edward is Steve Rogers because he’s old, wise and comes from a whole different era than the rest. He takes care of the young engines and scolds them when they want to misbehave.
These started off as silly little videos of the engines if they would have a more realistic and banter filled dialogue, to actual extensions of the universes, with more additions of writing to the stories we all know and love. And I'm excited for all of it. Keep these up Trampy, we all love em!
I absolutely love these videos. Even with the still images, so much gets across. The character development in these is absolutely fantastic - it’s so much fun with little lines and snippets of character growth, showing how the characters really think - James, Henry, and Thomas especially. The comedy is fun too - Little gems are in all of these videos - I loved Henry and Gordon’s awkward conversation. I also love how natural the dialogue is in all of these - it’s better than the TVS by a long shot in my own opinion, and even rivals the Railway Series, with its more serious tone, doesn’t feel like it’s playing down to kids like the TVS somewhat had to - but for me, it makes it so much fun to watch! The SFX is a lot of fun too - the sound effects and picture editing is awesome too really really good - whether having models or not, I’d be completely fine with keeping these movies with this style for good! 10/10, it’s so fun seeing these uploaded.
I like to think that being in the tunnel only worsened Henry's condition. It's established in Coaches that he had already been ill previously, but that his sickness is getting worse. I'm sure being left unmaintained and stationary for so long can't have done any good for him
I should have commented much sooner, but I passed out from laughing when I heard, “Come here often?” My Godred that was hilarious. Seriously though this was outrageous. This was the first time ever I legitimately hated Gordon, in that opening really made me dislike him, but by the end he was back to how I know him before. genuinely though, what I love most about these movies is that they are taken to the most serious extreme. Like no Bs, no memes, nothing stupid like your 2018 skits. These stories feel so real and genuine. The characters are rude, witty, grow, and act so in character. This is like a magnum opus to the tv characters we’ve know so well, but properly fleshed out. I can’t wait to see what you will tackle next Kyle. These stories give me so much joy, because these’s a cohesive storyline and I tend to gravitate towards those kinds series more rather than story happens, then resets and a different plot happens. Keep up the magnificent work. I can’t wait for more.

These videos just keep improving from a narrative perspective. I love the continuity between episodes, and the opening bit solves my problem with the last episode feeling too short. I love Thomas's dialogue, and I can see why the Big Engines find him annoying. I like that the idea to let Henry on comes from Edward, and the driver motivating Henry is great. The ending is very nice, and it is a good finale for Henry's Tunnel. I love that you manage to work in the bit about Sir Topham Hatt's hat getting eaten by the goat. It's small, but I love that that random scene is kept in. It's iconic. Also, 4:49 and 5:29 are hilarious dialogue.
I really like how in this series how the drivers interact with the engines. They snap at them get angry feel proud of them. It's a very small detail but it helps breathe more life into these stories
