  • This isn't going to be our most exciting or interesting RUclips tutorial, but we thought there'd be some value in bringing you guys through how to remove the door panels and headliner. It's pretty straightforward, but we ran into a few "WTF" moments so we hope you enjoy our tips and tricks. Reminder...we have the 2018 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 in 4x4, so this may vary for other models. It's super important to remove the door panels and headliner so you can adhere sound deadening material and insulation in those areas for obvious reasons. Watch our separate Sound Deadening Material tutorial if you have any questions on how that application process works.

So you never removed anything from the B-pillar and took this off just fine. I've seen some videos of folks removing the plastic area where the seatbelts come out of. Much easier. Thx for the video!

Did you have the large styrofoam blocks on either side at the back of the headliner? I see they're missing now in your video but just wondering if you removed them and how that works. I'll need to do the same thing on our 2018, but I think the foam will need to come out first.

Tim & Shannon L.T.D. We did not have any styrofoam. Ours just came open like you see in the video. Hope that helps. Let us know if you have anymore questions. Good luck with the project!

Will you insulate behind it? My husband and I are in debate over it. Any feedback on insulation behind headliner?

Hi Ann! Yes we insulated a lot of up there! We found it to be very helpful when driving in hot areas. It has been a huge help and we would highly recommend it. Please see our insulation video for more details and let us know if you have anymore questions! =)
