Notice how they have the original four fingered hand design. 2) At 4:20, the "new" footage for Abes Exodus is spliced on after Abe farts. Notice that Abe and Big Face switch to the three fingered hand design. Abes tribal tattoos on his hands mysteriously vanish in the new footage as well. XD IIRC, Oddworld Inhabitants changed the design of the hands as the Japanese government at the time was threatening to sue them as the Japanese meat industry found his original hand design to be offensive for some reason :P It's strange how they've gone back to the proper three fingered hands for New & Tasty and Soulstorm.

I love Phlegs speech but as a kid it was kind of creepy. Just the bit at the end where he's like "ohhohrrrr and its ALL that blue bastards FAULT" and barrels the camera. I feel like you really feel his animosity towards abe/you the player. Great cutscene 👍

He has a lesser ego compared to the others. This also finds it's way into the FeeCo info handstones, where he is referred to as "Uncle Aslik" instead of "Vice President Aslik" like "General Dripik" and "Director Phleg". He doesn't really like showing off his title I guess.

It's really such a shame the way Soulstorm turned out. I understand they wanted to evolve it from the original, but to take a timeless classic like Exoddus and turn it into... well, _that,_ really shows that modern-day Oddworld Inhabitants doesn't understand what made the originals so great: simple, tight mechanics in a memorable world. Soulstorm, on the other hand, was a bloated, nigh impenetrable exercise in self-indulgence. Lorne Lanning made the game _he_ wanted, not the game the fans wanted. It really is such a shame; if only they'd done it right, it could have been the successful reboot the franchise desperately needed. Now it looks like it's going back into the depths of obscurity.
Prefer the old games to the remake , the older games had more mystery more depth humour and an altogether different feel which the new game completely lacks!! I like the new game but with all the lore being fucked around with and the more serious tone its just not the same

I dont enjoy soulstorm as much because its diverted completely from the originals in terms of lore and its so much more depressing and dark , at least in the originals there were quite a few comedic moments to alleviate the drag

I just don’t like the other Mudokons and how they treat Abe like shit and call him a wuss, and some of the more over the top voice acting of the Glukkon characters. I like the new game’s approach better, it’s a bit more darker again and awesome with the pathos but still fun and humorous when it has to be.
@@adamwatson2914 I can see where you’re coming from but ya also gotta appreciate the world building that these “obnoxious” features create. Due to the mudokon’s decades, possibly centuries, of servitude, it makes sense they’d be indoctrinated to a degree and it’s shown that they aren’t the brightest based on how they are so easily manipulated. As for the glukkons, my only problem is the brewmaster and his over the top evilness but the rest, I find humorous without being too ridiculous and almost charming. Edit: I’m also in love with Soulstorm and think it is a masterpiece when looking at the story, graphics, and world design. But I will always prefer exodus purely due to the gameplay. The game-play in exodus is just so much more engaging with less than soulstorm is.
