Learning project reactor, spring webflux, kafka and mongodb/postgress for building microservices in JVM is good idea? Or virtual threads will replace reactive programming in microservices?
Wade here. Will virtual threads replace reactive programming in Microservices? I can't really say. Is it worth learning tools like Kafka, MongoDB, Postgres etc? As a fan of lifelong learning, I have to say yes. These are widely used tools and having them in your pocket will always be an advantage.
