I can relate!my mom uses just brow pencil,red lipstick and kajal but for base she used to mix foundation with lil bit of lotion and sandalwood powder.this mixture will make her base really really smooth and then she sets with powder.she also wears a bindi wih rhinestones..... I used to admire her so much when she puts on her makeup on mornings!
@@Daisy_518 we have a real sandalwood bark at home!it's like a big log like thingy (passed down through generations- around 150 years ) we rub against the red sandalwood stick (mostly available through out india but we bought it from mysore) it creates like a thick paste . She just mix it with lacto calmine lotionand bit of lakme foundation(the old one with wine coloured cap) she is medium skin tonned but that mixture is for paler tones.... but some how she makes it look so good with no grey cast... idk how

Round and small bindis are most frequently used. Also there are small stones used as bindis which look stunning btw. I've seen her do a modern take on bindis which seems to be inspired by Euphoria(imo), there they use gems on their eyes but Monica uses them as bindis to do unique patterns. Also red big bindis are very popular esp in Durga Puja(a Hindu ritual). People usually wear bindis bcs it frames the eyes in a beautiful way since brown women don't really wear makeup on a daily basis just some kohl,lipstick and bindi to go. Bindis are usually placed on the crown between eyebrows but you can put them higher as well. People used to wear bindis to say that they were married (acc to Google but I've never heard anything like this) mostly Hindu women wear this but a lot of women from other religions wear it as well. Hope it helps :)
If your culture doesn't have bindis, please refrain from wearing them. We have enough white women in music doing stuff like nose rings and the bindis with zero respect to the original wearers.

Tbh your mom’s routine is similar to my routine when I was younger. For some reason I was on a strike with eyeshadow as a teen 😅. Now I like eyeshadow, but I’m being a baby about lining my waterline (probably will only do it once in a blue moon)
I think you have the eyes that can do the tear duct wing not what its called and you are young add some contour, highlight, eyeshadow and you will like it. As for moms technique. You already know its flawless and you look great. Sometimes less gets the job done wonderfully. That is a great 10 minute face.
