I've been following him ever since.
Dee-1's Psalms of David mixtape is probably my favorite I discovered it on Datpiff because he had a song with Lecrae on that project, I downloaded the full tape and was rocking with it heavy. One of my favorite songs off that project would have to be "Numb", "Attention", "Win Today". but the song "Work" ft. Lecrae help me see that he could hang with the big dawgs the way he rode the beat as well as the song "Garden of Eden" helped showcase to me his storytelling ability.
I completely agree with his initial comments about being a middle school Math teacher & seeing how students idolize hip hop/pop culture...I had a similar experience.
Dee 1 has an incredible story and its clear how God's Hand has been present all throughout his career. Such an inspiration of Light shining in darkness. The darkness can't understand but can't help but look at a Lighthouse providing vision to a lost culture
Dee-1 you should check out my kinfolks Red City let's get it from Omaha,NE they produced song write there music as well underrated because Omaha,NE is an small city ppl sleep on us.....
When we realize that Yah is Not interested in christians... period. He's interested in his chosen people. Church is not the way. Your relationship with the Most High Yah is the way.
