This animatic means so much to me, the whole process felt like a self-journey on its own. I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do 🧡

The teaser of Tommy at the end is to just kinda showcase my next idea. I might do a little series of animatics like this and the metaphor I'm going for. I dont have a song or storyboard for Tommy, BUT, I plan to, possibly, life is wonky BUT, WE PERSEVERE!! :D

You could make separate animatics that show what all the l'manburg citizens have been through I think it would be cool (partly because eret, Jack, niki, and fundy are underrated lmao)
How u drew tubbo at the end as fully goat was adorable
This really shows that Tubbo did go through as much trauma and pain as Tommy, it’s just not as blatantly shown as Tommy’s
I honestly love this animation, it shows how everyone thinks that tubbo is such a sweet heart and wholesome person, while he has trauma and is tired of being killed or held hostage.
This song fits Tubbo’s character so well! I love all the symbolism and even the minimal movements feel so smooth
Your animatics always blow me away with how well they're executed, and this one was just so incredible.
The halo seems to be used as if Tubbo's the "good boy" that everyone wants him to be, the one who they expect everything of, and as he grows up, it's gone, since he's not what people expect of him to be anymore. The addition at the end with Tommy having devil horns feels similar, him being seen as just that: a devil.
I love how well the shots flow, and your usage of color is so satisfying! Wonderful!

God this animatic is absolute perfection.
I know it came out two months ago but the little details just keep drawing me back in as well as how nicely this song matches C!Tubbo’s character arc.
He just started off as a boy who wanted to help his best friend and his brother figure build a nation for funsies to being the ex president of said nation, executed by someone he trusted at the hand of his father (if we’re going off the dadschlatt head canon here) and losing that best friend due to the pressure placed upon his shoulders before he even reached eighteen.
I have no clue if this was a intentional but the halos covering the other character’s eyes (Schlatt, Dream, Techno, etc) might be displaying how they’re blinded by their own beliefs and morals that cause them to destroy anything that gets in the way of what they believe is right. Again, I have no clue if that’s what you were going for.
And how the video almost loops, beginning and ending with current C!Tubbo standing before his previous self as he’s forced to relieve these traumatic memories over and over.
Just my personal half asleep two cents on the video, keep up the amazing work :D
when it comes to being "blinded" by their own beliefs, I feel techno is misunderstood. techno never wanted to kill. yeah, he was against government but he also kept on getting wrapped up in everything "government."
it's true he wanted to get rid of l'manburg, but that's probably because they had done so much more than just exist, to him specifically. for example, at the festival, he was pressured into killing tubbo. he never wanted to kill tubbo- especially since he was currently working with tubbo's best friend, tommy. but techno has grown such a reputation for killing, that the people believed that he would've killed anyone in the government without hesitation. but he did hesitate.
techno never wanted to kill. techno never wanted to destroy. as he said once, sometimes you just HAVE to be the bad guy.
think of the bad guys movie. Mr. Wolf didn't want to be a bad guy, but didn't realize it until he wasn't seen as a bad guy for a moment.
that's the same with techno. he's always destroying things, but ends up much more civilized with Phil because Phil never pointed out the bad in techno. Phil saw techno as a friend.
now, back to the "blinded my beliefs"
sure, techno had specific beliefs that most everyone didn't agree with, but that doesn't mean he was just a killing machine to get what he thought was right. techno understood that some liked government while other like him did not. so, he did the most logical thing and moved away from all the government. but still, it followed him because at that point, his presence and anarchism had been known, and brought Tommy and Wilbur running up his door step to get him to help. he helped since he cared for Tommy and Wilbur (sleepy boys, yknow?) and that only brought him back to government, to and festival, and forced to pull the trigger on tubbo.
techno never wanted to do it. he was never blinded by beliefs, he was simply put on the spot, leading people to see him as the villian. he only went along with it eventually because why not fit the part when no one will believe you otherwise.
The one dislike is from someone so awestruck they couldn’t see the buttons clearly.

YOOO THIS IS SO COOL!! I love the use of green and all the changing perspectives, especially with Tubbo singing with his guitar (tbh, all the silhouettes are so cool),, plus how Tubbo, Techno, and Dream are the people with green halos- then the end with Tubbo looking on his past self

I cannot stop rewatching this, it's beautiful!! The movement, the energy, the color of the halo and the popping highlights it's just AAAAAA god this is so good. I'm too tired to say anything coherent but the story elements fit so well with the song, especially with the characters that come in and slam tubbo back into that mindset. Just. Ugh. It's so good!

Yooooo amazing work. The expressions were on point, and I love your design of Tubbo as well as the symbolism of the green ring. My guess is that it symbolises Dream’s control over people. Originally I thought it meant Tubbos innocence, but Techno had the ring too, and he can hardly be described as that.
Either way cool stuff O.O
It’s an odd thing to point out, but I really like the pacing the video. Good music choice. It gives us a moment to breathe in the beginning and get engaged, before picking up speed and ending by slowly down again so we have time to process. It makes the moments hit all the harder

This was beautiful!! I loved how you did tubbo’s character design because I haven’t really seen anyone do him full ram I have seen half ram in many ways but not like this so, it’s really good. Also the way you drew Tubbo’s face shape is so cool! It resembles a goat! Just like him! And he kinda looks like the character from Undertale and Tubbo is one of the Streamers I think of when I think abt Undertale!! So weird I always wondered who that character reminded me of and now cuz of you I was able to put my finger on it!!! !

1. Tubbo
(lovely animatic, i admire how consistent and defined your style is, and i love the symbolism, and the composition, like the frame at 1:17 where tubbo's on almost a throne and you can see quackity and schlatt leaning over him on either side, who are easily recognizable even though they're just outlined silhouettes)

Aww I love this. I truest feel for character Tubbo. This animatic is such a great representation of exactly what !c Tubbo went through. His best friend pulled him into wars about a music disc. Over an item. He’s been through multiple wars for a nation that ended up being wasted in the end. He was deceived and tricked and executed at a so called “festival” because he didn’t want to betray his best friend. He’s been put in charge of governing a whole nation. And know he’s got the whole “Tubberger” business with Quackity.
