Once you start dissolving it in cold water first, it's like a whole new drink. MILES better, a lot less bitter - I halved the amount of sugar I was using when I started doing this. Highly recommend for peeps like me who don't have the money to get tools for proper brewing, or are just too dead in the morning to be able to prepare something more intricate than instant (I, swear to god, once boiled over a pot of coffee so badly I still have burnt coffee stuck to said pot)
Shoutout to Juan Valdez and Colombian coffee ❤ Starbucks storefronts becoming major in Colombia really was detrimental to the Juan Valdez brand, which has been iconic to Colombians for a while now. Happy to see Juan Valdez being enjoyed
I proudly drink both. However, before I make my instant coffee again, I will dissolve it in cold water first. My favorite instant is Cafe de Olla but also Legal. Sanka was my first love but that's hard to find, of they're still making it even.
My instant coffee never mixes well into cold water, only really dissolves with hot water. I use the cafe pho brand, not sure how you got yours to dissolve so quickly
Oh god, today I made my coffee using your method and it was DELICIOUS ✨ I have enjoyed a cup of coffee like this in a while. I am a real coffee amateur 😅
thank you for this. my dad only likes instant coffee and doesn't have any coffee machine or anything. this will help if I ever want to enjoy a cup with him.
Some instant keeps the great flavors intact very well. Just be fragile with the coffee and slowly bring it up to temp but there isn’t a real reason that the instant coffee is worse it’s just in a more useable form.
most instant coffee I found have instruction to brew them in 80°C and not boiling water, I never thought why before 🤔 you do learn something new everyday...
Been saying this for years. Add to milk first. However espresso is the same. Thus Costa add the shots to the base. Ie milk or water. Starbucks adds the milk/water to the already made shot so it gets a burnt flavour. However they have to use the shots immediately. use within 20s or bin.
Good video!
I would gladly give my body to this gentleman
AY FUCKING YO
AY FUCKING YO
AYO
Me too!
This absolutely works and has improved my instant coffee experience!
I’m a coffee snob but I have instant at work when I’m desperate. I will try these tips for sure. I already add two spoons as I hate it weak.

Instant coffee is also good to add to brownie mix with the water
Instant coffee with sugar and cold milk was the base for Indian style cold coffee. I'll try this next time.

I’ve always thought instant tasted burnt! Interesting!

Can we add milk instead of hot water? Are the ratios gonna change then?

Instant coffee is pretty grim compared to even half decent brewed coffee, but if you need a coffee hit it does the job
What if your instant coffee is a powder, and not grains like in the video, do you still dissolve it in cold water?
Instant isn’t bad it’s just different, if u expect it to taste like home ground and brewed then obviously it’ll taste bad

I add cinnamon powder to give it a boost in flavor. Gunna try a cardamom/cinnamon mix one day when I remember to too.

I buy instant coffee so that I can serve it cold. But I hate hot drinks. It really is a decent iced coffee as long as you avoid Folgers instant.
Instant can be okay when made right but nothing is better than properly made fresh ground coffee
Always put the milk in with my coffee first for that reason.
And that coffee in specific, is a good morning.
Here in India coffee culture is on the rise. It's amazing to see, but instant still has its place and it is doctored up very well here!

you do learn something new everyday...
Gonna try this. Thanks!
I mix it with condensed milk first to mellow its acids
yes i’m colombian and juan valdez instant coffee just hits different🤤🤤 regular, especially american instant, coffee isnt really great to me
I have try, it would my coffee more flavourful, tq for the tip
Yo what temp the hot water when you add it?
I like instant I just forgot why I stopped buying it
Bet! I probably was making it wrong... Gonna try this...
I pinch of salt goes a long way. I really recommend it.
God loves you man
hmm I'll give it a shot. last time i bought instant i was at a work trip half a year ago. i have some...
I needed this tip for camping! Thanks!
Yes. Makes sense. Thanks
Can you put the ratios in the comments?
1tsp coffee per 6oz water
@@SoftPourn thank you ✨

I have this brand and I love it
hey! I have both instant and specialty coffee! I am gonna try this :)
Good shit
I'm a little scared to drink this stuff, I'm afraid if I drink this my father will yell at me.
Instant banger
Nice tips thanks
Juan Valdez is my favorite instant coffee 😁
fully agree
Will try for sure.
Yep
Yeah, the burning would explain why it's more bitter.
The problem is that most instant golden coffee is 100% arabica, and that's whack.
Robusta is where it's at boiiiiiiii!
I love Juan Valdez 🤤 some of the best instant coffee there is out there
I'm skeptical
ill do this right now and sub if you didnt lie... subbed im not a snob and love all the coffee.
Tbh I don't mind instant, yeah some brands aren't the tastiest but I'm drinking it to stay awake and for warmth, not for the flavour
