Awesome truck ! My first truck was a 1952 Chevy. My dad had a 56 Chevy Napco 4x4 which was beat to a pulp. He bought it from a logger and my dad used it while we cut firewood and mini logs. It had a 265 V8 and was the Chevy teil green. This will be a great build with plenty of memories you should enjoy the rest of your life !

That'll make a great runner. My dad used to have a 55 GMC painted red. Still had the old 6 volt system in it with the push button starter on the floor.

Bad ass truck man, guns being "crazy" is what theyvwant you to think, nothing wrong with having your tools in your truck. Nah man, leave it how it is and build a frame from scratch out of rectangular tubing, keep it 4x4 and lifted, clear coat it as is.

My old man had a 57 chevy might of been a belair, he bought it brand new with his paper route money, i was born in 58 so i grew up in that car, he was going to sell it to me on my 16th birthday for 400$ for some reason he parked it out on the road one day and a guy came around the corner and wiped out the whole side of the car, he ended up selling it to a friend of his on my 16th bday for 500$, did I mention he was a fuckin drunk?

Arco, Chevy and GMC had the gas fill on the right side of the truck from 1949 to 1955. 1947 and 1948 was under the bed.

That thing is sick. For some reason, I really like a dark purple on those old trucks. I love the stories!

Leave the bed and the patina! It'll look stupid with a flatbed and fancy paint job on it.
