what is your opinion on the cheap coils?www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6x-PENCIL-IGNITION-COIL-PACK-FOR-JAGUAR-S-TYPE-1999-2002-2-5-3-0-V6-C2S42751/264590126817?hash=item3d9acceee1:g:KhIAAOSwKpNeHDjd 40 pound for 6 or should i just replace the broken one with a lucas one? i am wondering are these cheap coils a faulse economy?
The 2004 x-type I have has been one of the easiest cars I've owned to work on. The water pump took less than 30 minutes to change. Its always been super reliable and a blast to drive in the winter.
I have a 2004 x-type, 2.5. something is causing the number 4 cylinder coil pack to fail. I've had to replace it 4 times now in less than 20k miles. I have decided to do it myself this time as I am tired of paying $400 to a shop. This video was easy to follow, tools needed, steps to take. thanks to makers of this video.
@@nicosilva4750 Good point. Video creation is another fulltime job, and I know lots of videos are tossed up as they don't have the resources to make perfect videos. Ah in a perfect world,!!!
right! i work at a car dealership so i have a checklist of things i immediately change when i buy a new car and i'm thinking i'll leave the spark plugs for last. lol
on my 2003 the 10mm bolts holding the harness to the plenum don't need removal. the harness bracket is open slotted...just loosen and slide the harness away.
great video, very good job explaining. my light is on and it is reading P0341,P0496 and P0461, are they all related to the camshaft sensor? my car is the 2013 Jaguar XF V6-3.0L Turbo
The bolts holding the manifold keep turning they seem to have separated from the part where you have the green gaskets how can I pull them out three of them or just turning? any suggestions would be appreciated.
Should have done this job instead of taking it to the local mechanic. They charge me over $800 and said they should use Autolite Spark plugs because Ford produced this car at the time. Well that is wrong,,, Replace all parts with the SAME MANUFACTURER which looks like NGK from the video. The shop also did not clean out the windshield wiper hollow housing but charged me as I found out later that the Cabin Filter was still dirty... Thanks for the video although I think it would take longer than just over 9 minutes to do this job.
A common mistake. I was involved in the design of the engine and i worked for jaguar whitley. The cylinder head design is nothing like the ford and we used denso and NGK stuff. So you’re right. There’s so much ignorance out there!
On a Jaguar x type 2003 if one of your cylinders is messed up can you change one cylinder or do you need a new engine, for example if it’s warped or something (not my problem)
As I know the service manual says after 105000 or 115000 kilometers or so. Normally the Platin spark plugs are meant to be holding up for 100'000 kilometers and the Iridium, I guess, even longer.

justdo it backwards
just play the tape backwards
@@homesculptor By putting it back together he would (should) include the torque specs. I see too many people breaking bolts in the manifold.

Good morning. Is that plug number ITR6F13?
What a chore just to change plugs. This car depreciates faster than any other cars over here.
What what the very last tube he pulled out the back? Mines broke and I need to replace it, but I dont know what it is?
Do I have to remove the manifold to access the bank 1 sensor?
What are the spark plugs used?
What name brand for the ignition coils?
Awsome thanks

Also, will either or both bad spark plugs and ignition coil cause my car to stop while driving?
thank you !
thank you!!!
I need to change the number one coil pack, which location is number one?
Vladimir were are you located?
Great video, but the music drove me to distraction!
How to replace intake gasgets on jaguar3.0
I would rather pay a mechanic no matter how much it cost. What a pain in the butt!
?? It looks quite easy and doesn't take too long. Well, for changing spark plugs, yeah, it's quite tedious but not hard at all.
Fuck.....i need a mechanic.... jajajjaja
Hi, I have a jaguar xtype2005,,, can you tell me what is code po442

Sure just order 1 new cylinder, you can glue it to the old engine

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE SPARK PLUGS PLEASE

Great info but I could not watch the video due to the annoying music.
Would I need new plugs on 2005 3L with 97500 km on it
Where is coil pack
Little much.. you could of left your intake manifold on and replaced the plugs and coils with doing these much.
I would rather lose a limb than change the spark plugs on my Jaguar!
That shit is too much work for the spark plugs and coils fuck that I'm good with all that stick with Nissan Toyota and Honda
Excellent video, thanks!!
Beautiful video! Thank you
