Good work, but I must admit that I sort of wished it wasn't sketched in pen ink. You did such a good job with the sketching, loved the varying poses, and it was such a delicate and beautiful subject. It just made me sort of wish they were sketched in pencil, with more detailed painting. But I still think that your "pen and ink" or "ink wash", not sure what they call it, turned out beautiful. Understand the part where you wanted see the sketches in pencil, I haven’t used regular pencil due to it’s smudginess. If I need to use similar textures, I tend to use watercolor color pencil underneath on my watercolor. I do studies with just with watercolor with same subject to get more understanding of the specific subject and go back to pen drawing to study more. You will definitely find similar subject on my future videos! Thank you again for your kind words!
I tried drawing my Yorkshire, but I went for a slightly different angle than the one you used. You have no idea - it ended up looking like a balding rat, poor thing! The fur effect turned out awful, and the body perspective too LOL XD I’ll try again in the future. I’ve been doing a little better drawing flowers/plants than animals in a more "realistic" style with perspective. I do a bit better with 2D animal drawings. I’ve never tried drawing fish! That’s something I’ll give a shot at these days!
I’ll start adding reference photos on these videos in description with links to the reference photo. Don’t worry, just keep trying and try to find your own line works that suits you. You can see all these artists use different lines for their artworks. It will take times, but if you don’t skip the drawing exercises, you will definitely find your own lines! Just try to understand the distance between each parts.
Big like beautiful drawing 😊
Thank yoy😬
Beautiful ✨
Thank you😬
I know how to draw but I want to learn how to paint, so this video helped me a lot, thank you very much❤
I'm so glad! Come again for more videos with painting!🙂
Learning how to draw first will make painting easier, because painting is just drawing with color. Don’t put the cart before the horse.
@MsBonsai2010 You're right, my fault is that I am scared for paint and destroy my sketch and I avoid to paint like for 5 years it's crazy🙈
You can always do another sketch right away, just have fun with it. You will only gain from previous line drawings!

So Pretty!
What pen is that? Is it waterproof?
It’s 0.5 mm pen I purchased from Amazon. It is ball point pen and not like some gel pens it doesn’t get affected by watercolor.
