  • Garden Steele Away Visits the Japanese Gardens of the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. What an absolutely AWESOME place to visit!
Join us as we explore some of the most beautiful gardens in the United States and beyond!
Join Marnie and I as we visit the Most Beautiful Gardens. Fight for Joy, Take a Mini-Vacation and LIVE!
If you want to take some great instagram photos this is one place you should visit!
We visit the best Japanese and Botanic Gardens that we can find or that you recommend. We have visited gardens of Texas, gardens of Hawaii, gardens of Minnesota and Gardens of all over the United States. Our hope is to one day film gardens of the world. We would love to start with Kew Gardens and the thousands of gardens in Great Britain, but for now these are the best garden's we have explored in the United States.
I find that one of the best ways to learn "How to Plan a Garden" is to visit quality gardens. If you can't visit them all in person, subscribe to channels like ours that can take you there.
My goal is to help you to be immersed in the beauty of these spectacular pieces of art. We do this for our own Soul Care as a part of our Fight for Joy. We found ourselves at a place in our lives where we were wondering how to find joy in life among all the difficult things we were facing. it's amazing what the Beauty of God and creativity of an artist can do for your own soul care....to learn to slow down and smell the roses...to be still...! How do you deal with chaos? By intentionally forcing yourself to slow down and not let chaos steal your time and energy.
The beauty of these gardens, set to beautiful Jazz and Folk Music have helped many people find some peace and solitude. For others, these videos are filled with ideas for how to garden. They also help in How to plant flowers with various designs and even help give some ideas on how to grow your vegetables.
Garden design can take on many shapes from formal gardens to cottage gardens, from wild flowers to Japanese tea gardens. Come explore with us and find out what you might want to create in your own back yard!

34 year Fort Worth resident, my favorite place. Excellent video and editing job, and, you had the place to yourself. I've been watching this occasionally from Cuenca, Ecuador where I retired in 2014. Thank you!

The site of this garden was once an Abandoned rock quarry and garbage dump. It was an amazing transformation from wasteland to paradise

Thanks for sharing this! I had no idea! It’s a beautiful place to visit now…some good metaphors can be found knowing it was once a garbage dump!

When the garden first opened the garden committee invited a prominent Japanese representative to view the garden and after touring it his response was something like “ this is a very beautiful garden, we have nothing like it in Japan” I’m sure that the creators of the garden didn’t know quite how to take this as they prided themselves on having created a authentic Japanese garden.
It’s a funny story and I’m sure the the Japanese gentleman said it as a compliment but that something might have been lost in translation.

@@jeffhughes1862 Haha....I just had an 11 hour layover in Japan, but I was disappointed because Covid has caused them to be a little more reserved once again and I couldn't leave the airport...It would have been nice to have had had the opportunity to visit a garden while in Japan.

The Fort Worth Botanic and Japanese are in the same park. Both are beautiful and usually (weekdays) sparse and peaceful.

We only visited in October, so not sure what other times of the year are like. We have found that it can be a big joy to go at various times of year to the same garden because they can change greatly with the various seasons.

Thank you for watching our video and for commenting. It truly is a beautiful garden. The Japanese Garden at Chicago Botanic Garden and the one in St. Louis are also both stunning. My son had purchased tickets to visit Japan this past July, but Covid stopped his plans...He hopes to some day get there!

I love that you say it's interactive. I am looking to start a garden nursery in South Africa, and I am looking to have one that invites one to want to walk slowly through and every time one does, you kind of get more out of it. Many levels of intrigue. Much like Miyazaki films

Thank You for the encouragement Ken. We love the gardens that invite us to explore. Check out our video on Chandor Gardens ....
