- The Australian’s Graham Lloyd says US President Joe Biden “needs to demonstrate” he is competent with a cognitive test.
“Extraordinary times isn’t it … the best advice he could get would be to stop digging, the more he talks about it and the more he is trying to justify the situation the worse he looks,” he said.
“It is not unusual for older people to have a cognitive test, it is quite a normal thing, he should leap at the opportunity to demonstrate he could do so.”

I have Parkinson’s. So does Biden. I’m 44, diagnosed 15 years ago. I’m unfortunately an expert in the disease and can identify it easily in others. Watching Biden, I’m looking in mirror. Btw, Sometimes my meds work, called being “on”. Sometimes they don’t, “off”. On or off is near impossible to control. I can literally go from off to on during a conversation (like the debate). Because of on/off nature, he will pass a cognitive test if he’s “on” and it will be used to say he’s fine. But if he took the test when “off”, he will not do well. He might even switch between on/off during the test. That’s how unpredictable this disease is. Ask me how I know…

He likely does not have Parkinson's. His near-fatal burst aneurism was on the left side of the brain, causing unconsciousness, and impaired his speaking ability enough that he required speech and language therapy. This means that the speech centers on the left side of the brain likely experienced a lack of blood flow/oxygen for hours, maybe even days, before he was hospitalized in near critical condition. Furthermore, his pre-frontal cortex may have been deprived as well. And he had another pre-aneurism bulge (it didn't bleed) after the near-fatal one was discovered but this one was on the right side. Aneurisms are known to cause both immediate and long-term permanent damage with worsening age-related changes on top of that. And every month will be worse than the last month.
