‘Sad day for America’: Sky News host blasts CNN coverage of attempted Trump assassination

- Sky News host Gabriella Power has slammed CNN for its initial coverage of the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump.
Ms Power said: “If you were following media outlets like CNN today, you would have thought Donald Trump had a fall”.
A breaking CNN article included a headline which read: “Secret Service rushed Trump off stage after he falls at rally”.
“Falls? It was an assassination attempt. He’s not Joe Biden,” Ms Power said.
Ms Power said it was a “devastating day for America” and claimed there was likely to be growing support for the former president, following the attack.
As an American, I have to watch a foreign media outlet to get the truth about my own country.
Been that way for a long time. Remember JFK?

Sky News Australia is one of my regular rotation sources of non-American political news and commentary. I watch a few left wing sources and a few right wing sources. Everybody should watch both sides these days.
I can't figure out why an Australian news outlet seems to only report on U.S. affairs. I've watched this channel for awhile, but I can't really figure out why they're so obsessed and emotional about American politics here.

Even Al Jezeera is more reliable than the big four broadcast media in the US. Newsmax is a source, but incomplete and still amateurish. Too many go to social media for news.
