Same here, Matt is one of the only ones who brings me to this place too. I usually listen to music in the background, doing something else. But when I listen to Matt, I don't need to do other things, just chill and listen.

When you said you wanted to have at least one song that made someone feel something amazing. I was nodding my head in confidence thinking you have done more than that. Your songs connect with me on another level, your voice puts me someone else and the beauty of your lyrics have made me cry and feel so deep, many times before. You have accomplished more than just some songs that give feeling, you have created beauty and deep emotions within another world, just through your songs. You are my biggest inspiration, and I thank you for expressing such beauty in every song you have written and sung. Not just on the new album, but those first ever songs you released. I am beyond excited that you are coming to New Zealand. See you soon Matt, you have a beautiful soul.

Sooth Lady Wine and Why Dream definitely have that “umph” factor for me. Matt, you redefined the way I see and appreciate music and your creative process definitely connects with me. 8:41 Mark... when he talks about creating songs that invade your soul... i often feel so many people don't get to experience that. They are distracted by the world and they miss out on all the incredible layers that make up an incredible song. The fact that music is just background noise for some people amazes me too. I feel so fortunate, that I often connect to someones creation so heavily that that soul injecting feeling that he's talking about, I get. For many incredible artists. Such a privilege
Watching this reminds me what life really is about. Nothing is better than to be able to live with what you love. He loves nature and he lives in nature.He loves music and he lives from music. sadly It takes lots of risks to live just the way you want but if you succeed with that you cant get happer. Thank you so much for sharing parts of your process with us! I just wants to add to the choir of all the comments below. The legacy you say you wish to have, and the feeling you wish for people to have when they listen to your music is already achieved, at least from my point of view. I saw you in Copenhagen a few weeks ago, thank you so much for that, it was such an amazing night. A great concert for me is when you completely forget everything around you, and you're just present right there with the artist, your friends and all the others in the room. Which is what you created for us that night, and I was trying to explain to my friend how I feel about your music. For me it's a feeling of being transcended to both a place within me, where there is no fear, there is just deep deep peace and acceptance. It's hard to put words on it, because you actually really can't put words to it, but it hits a place in me that is just simple and pure and I forget everything about time. I LOVE music and spend a lot of time listening to it, and there is so much amazing and inspiring music out there, but there are few artist that has taken me to the place your music does, only Bon Iver, Asgeir Trausti (from Iceland) and Ben Howard have.
I send all my best to you and your loved ones, and will put on Miracle Love!

I've got my first child on the way too - makes sense now why this record resonated so much with me. I listen to it at home with my wife and it always evokes a feeling of contemplative peace.
