Completed the Remake last Saturday and enjoyed it a lot. I still think Mafia 2 is still my favourite of the series so far.
Mafia 2 was also my favorite but I feel bad for Tommy Angelo at the end so did I feel the same for Vito idky they both kinda end towards the art gallery

I played the original Mafia on Xbox. It was a great game despite the technical issues it had. I heard the PC version was far superior, I look forward to trying it out sometime.
It is indeed far superior. I'm nostalgic for the ps2 version, but I still felt it was awful compared to the PC one. The map is different, there are more alleyways, navigation is better, and car mechanics are brilliant with the option of using manual or automatic gear. I've never played a game where you had to use the clutch before. And graphics, well, much better without a doubt. I added some mods to make it even better, like better graphics, improved draw distance, new car models, weapon sounds... Still maintains the original style but with much better models and graphics. Try it on steam, but beware, you'll have to add the original music yourself due to license expiration issues.

The new version is a solid game enjoyed it a lot
But the original game is genuinely better
The music and ambience and the feeling of 1930s in the original game is just perfect and some levels are quite difficult but a lot more interesting than in the newer game
Strongly recommend people to find a way to play the original game it is a genuine hidden gem
The cinematic direction is also much much better in the original in cutscenes honestly

Vaya diferencia de PS2 a PS4, ya podía Rockstar haber hecho lo mismo y no haber sacado el Vice City y el San Andreas con esos gráficos y jugabilidad tan malos

Voice acting in the remake is awful compared to the original!
I'm playing this now. Way better than PS2. Grand Theft Auto really screwed the pooch with their "Definitive" Trilogy

They took out some funny stuff like in the ps2 versoin if you leave without a gun he will say I need a heater or i need a gun lol. they took that out in the ps4 version ☹️☹️ it use to male me laugh cause i was little n didnt know he ment a gun i was looking all over for a heater thinking he ment a car heater 😂😂😂😂
I finished PS2 Mafia1 a few days ago, I still haven't played DE yet, I remember having the song "Sing It Way Down Low" stuck in my head because I died so many times at the airport mission where Tommy has to eliminate Salieri's Consigliere Frank🤣😂
Mafia on PS2 was terrible even back in 2002. I don't know why they thought that game would port over decently.
