- This was so much harder to make than I thought it would be. Initially I had planned to have finished this somewhere around 4x13. But while I had a good chunk of this finished before 4x11, I just couldn't work on it. Season 4 left me utterly dissatisfied with his arc, if you can even call it that, and I really didn't know how to work with most of it (hence the low amount of s4 scenes in this vid). And don't even get me started on 4x11. I'm still pissed that Jasper's death was treated like an afterthought and only given two scenes, both of which not even from his pov. Every major character that had died before Jasper got a proper final tribute in their last episode. But clearly the writers didn't have enough time or didn't care enough to give him that much, and I will forever be bitter about that. But this show and this character still mean a lot to me and I am slowly regaining my joy in vidding it, especially after how good that finale was and how excited I am for most things we know about season 5.
I could ramble about how much Jasper means to me or expand on my thoughts regarding his s4 arc, but I'm already struggling with how to put them into words, so I'll try to keep this desc short. I still find it hard to pinpoint exactly why I'm so attached to Jasper, but I do know that I'm forever grateful for his storyline and for Devon Bostick's incredible portrayal of him. I tried to capture as much of it as I could in this video but there are still so many aspects I couldn't go into. However, I don't plan on stopping to vid him anytime soon so you can expect to see those pop up in future videos.

I really hate how misunderstood Jasper is, how many people think he's weak or had no reason to be suicidal, etc etc. This video shows perfectly how much pain Jasper suffered through, how he was slowly broken by the fight and by losing his girlfriend. I really have no words that will do justice to this masterpiece. It was the most moving Jasper tribute I've ever seen. I'm just sitting here crying. I didn't realise how much I would miss him but now that he's gone I really do. This vid was... perfect. The timing, the parallels, the voice overs, just the way you pieced the entire story together. It is truly art. Ahhhhh I'm just.. speechless.
The fandom hated him because he wasn't that "strong" as others character's and he was way more emotional and all the shit that happened hit him too fucking hard. He wasn't a warrior, he wasn't a soldier, and unlike most characters he wasn't someone with the physical nor mental strenght to keep going. He really tried and even tho he couldn't be a hero, it was just too much for him. This happens too often in real life, real people with depression struggle to even keep breathing and the rest tends to claim that they doesn't have "anything to be depressed for" because "a lot of people have it worse than you", like theres an especific level of trauma you have to get to "have the right to be depressed". Its honestly fucking frustating. The fandom hated him because he was the most human character in the whole series, and, as a depreesed person myself who absolutely loved Jasper Jordan and related to him immensely, this Is a super accurate example of a person with depression and ptsd that finally got to his breaking point. Guys, not everyone has the same capacity to hold the pain, think about that.

Jasper was such a great character. I loved him so much and i felt so bad for him after Maya's death.. He is so underrated and i honestly love this video. It shows how great he was.

I don't know how many times i've watched this already. Countless really. I just absolutely love the way you portray this beautiful character. It feels like you know him inside-out and you were able to put everything of that together in not even 5 minutes. *hands down*

And all the parallels * ____ * It also fascinates me, since you've vidded him a few times or in combination with other characters, but still you always managed to make it feel fresh and dig even deeper with every video. He deserved better, he deserved fucking better. I am still angry, because he was the one who had the most emotions, and they just killed him. Raven could stop her heart and she lives, but Jasper had problems and HE DOESN'T. I still don't know if I will watch season five, because he was... he was the heart of the show. I wanted to make a video about him, but every time I see a scene with him I just... cry. They should help him, he was 16, his parents died, and... he lost his bestfriend. If Finn was alive... I know that he would help him. But... I just can't imagine him happy after all of this, but I want this so much, HE WAS ABOUT TO SAVE EVERYONE. HE DESERVED BETTER.
And at the end... he wanted Monty to be happy... he wanted to leave him safe. I am just speechless. I know how it is to don't believe in life, and... he just needed help.

wow, the queen of parallels strikes with a vengeance again. I truly don't even know where to start with this, the way you paralleled all the quotes in this and cut between the good and times they were used??? How you showed his fierce loyalty and large capacity for love and how as much as he loved and was loved and cared and was cared about, it was not enough for his broken spirit and all that he had been through and his inability to cope with all that trauma because he did not have the means to do so in the terrible beautiful post apocalyptic world, making his death even more tragic. I felt the love and passion you have for him and all he has been through in this and just how much you love him. This is just fucking amazing Anouk, as per usual

So many people hate on him but imagine being a teenaged boy sentenced to die, you think you have a second chance, then get impaled and witness extreme violence immediately upon landing on the ground... and then witness a literal genocide in which a loved one dies in front of you. I DARE you to come out unchanged. The others are fucked up by it too. It just broke Jasper and I can't say I really blame him.

very gratefull a respectull video of him, his jorney and what the meant to the 100, all of his carisma and pov though the earth and point of living. still makes no sence the way they lay him off, he was part of the main characters and he didnt even get more view in s4 or the more into it the reasons he just got done for. sigh

uuuugh it makes me so sad, because if he could've just hung on, if he could've just let Monty rescue him.... He could've been happy in space. He could've been happy with them. He could've had six years of peace, to grieve, to get better. He would've tried to convince everyone to stay with the algae farm instead of taking the valley, and when that failed, I'm sure he would've chosen to stay awake in space with Monty and Harper. He might've ended up with Raven or something, and then the only people who truly deserved peace, because they did nothing but hold on to the people they loved and search for peace, would get to have it. Jordan could've met his uncle.
