Hi everyone! Notion has updated their formula language since I uploaded this video. They changed the unaryPlus function I show in the video to toNumber instead. I think everything else on the video should still be the same but just change unaryPlus to toNumber and it should work :)
This is perfect. As a new Notion user, its basic, straight forward and precisely what I was looking for. Thank you, whoever you are :) Liked, subbed. Edit: I would love to see your rendition of a "goals" tracker. Something to hold myself accountable to my milestones, each step of the way i.e. like, finacially; weekly, monthly, yearly progress towards paying down debts or saving my first $100k. That would be great. By tracking our progress and or missteps is probably one of the biggest factors in a persons successes/failures. By tracking my goals each step of the way, here on Notion, I am physically forcing myself to be conscious of my decisions, good or bad.
This Advance Habit Tracker is simple, but it is best. I also made a similar template. But do you know how can we create Quarterly and Yearly progress bar by using our Monthly progress bars. Waiting for your response.
Every time i click on the add button the daily routine list under particual day in calendar view comes up with page icon which doesnt happen when you turn it into default at 16:05 . Why is that so & what do i do to fix it? Also can i use the same calendar view without second table ( analytic table ) if i do not require to use percentages and formulae but simply make a routine?
Thank you for the great video! I have a question with regard to the roll up percentage of checked boxes. I noticed that it automatically counts the one template which got related to the database. So even if I have inserted only one time daily habit into the calendar, and checked all of them. The rollup percentage will show as 50% instead of 100%. Do you have any tips?
Sorry, I don't quite understand what your issue is. You do need to make sure that any pages with habits on them are related to the stats database for the percentage to work correctly :)
@@creative_cove For example, in your video, you added daily habits to 6 days in the calender (17:32). But in the roll up at 18:10, the number of total check boxes are shown as 7 as it also counts the one standard template "daily habits" that you have previously added. Hence, even if all 6 days you have completed the habits, the percentage of the roll up would not be 100%. At 18:37, you clicked one time on journal, which based on the calendar view, the percentage completed should be 1 out of 6 (16,7%), but in the habit analytics view, it is shown as 14,3% because it calculates 1 out of 7 completed. Hope I am clear this time. Thanks!
@@can3491 thanks, I understand this time. I've just tried it out on my version but it is coming to 100% when I check all the boxes for journal. I think in the video, there may have been an extra day added on a different month which may be why the percentage didn't go to 100% - this could be the issue for you?
@@creative_coveI'm having the same issue as @can3491. I have a clean month of October with no prior entries. In order for "Daily Habits" to populate in the Calendary Habit Tracker relation column you either have to click in the cell (which you show @14:36 in the video) , or under the default template for Daily Habits you have to ensure that the Habit Analytics field shows "Habit Completion Rate". But when you do either option, you already start off with one entry under Habit Analytics but not real entries in the calendar. So once you actually do have an entry in the habits calendar and you click, for example, "drink water", the analytics will show 50%, not 100%, even though it is your first entry in the habit tracker. At 16:17 in the video you show how to have "Daily Habits" populate under the Habit Completion Rate relation field by creating the template and then making sure that Habit Analytics field shows Habit Completion Rate. But when you did that, the Habit Analytics database now showed two entries for "Daily Habits" under Habit Completion Rate, even though you only had one day entry. You can see that at 16:22 in the video. In my case, for example, if I have 5 days of entries, the analytics is making the analysis based on 6 entries of "Daily Habits" under the Calendar Habit Tracker relation column.
Hi! First of all, thanks for another fantastic video. I am, however, running into an issue: I built the whole habit tracker on Friday and it seemed to be working perfectly - but when I came back to it today (Sunday) and tried to track my habits by clicking the "complete all" button (I also tried clicking the individual buttons) it didn't do anything. Am I missing a step? Do I need to set up a new day? (edit: I went back to Notion and saw that I had 2 entries filtered as "no date". When I clicked on them, they both appeared on today's date, with all my habits listed and the checkboxes unchecked. I deleted one of the entries, and then clicked the habit buttons individually and the buttons worked fine. I'm now more confused than ever, and am aware how convoluted my issue sounds - I guess I'm hoping it makes more sense to you and I just made a newbie mistake?)
It sounds like the button isn't working correctly. I would probably just double check that inside the button settings it says to change the checkbox to 'checked' and that the filter for the current day has also been applied. Hopefully this fixes it!

Is there any way to integrate the habit tracker with the goal tracker that you guys did a video on? That would be great!
Sure, you could set up a relation property linking them together :)
