    I'm an American who learned falconry in Germany and enjoy your videos very much. These test ones are among my favorites, and I would happily watch them even without the hot chilis!! I have long wondered what "Falkenbart" (falcon beard) is in English, and now I know. I have been to Assateague and was shouting at my monitor to try and help you! LOL A beloved American children's book is "Misty of Chincoteague," and if I ever get to England I will hand you a copy (though maybe you don't want to remember the horror of that chili).

      @@MercerFalconryThank you! I love watching your channel. The questions really were the same. It was about 1/3 legal, 1/3 husbandry/hunting, and 1/3 identification/environment. I had learned that there is a study guide from the California Hawking Club available for purchase that was helpful too. I’m in a different state so parts weren’t applicable.

    How long did it take you to recover from that? 14 correct out of 22, but only because of our great friend Steve Petersburg. Steve was the head park ranger at Dinosaur National Monument in Colorado during their peregrine recovery program throughout the 1980s, and wrote an extensive report about it, as well as telling a wealth of wonderful and sometimes hilarious stories around the dinner table.

    On #10 you said there were 21 more to go for a total of 31. The video stopped on question #22. What happened to the other 11? Did you get #23 wrong and stop the video for the sake of your health? Or is there another video coming out for the rest of the exam?

  • @davidholdstock
    @davidholdstock Год назад

    How long was this video's actual full length? I ask because for me, it finished at 24.28 with the repetition of the phrase "ye olde", with litterally nothing else thereafter. I have noticed some other videos (not necessarily on this channel) finish rather suddenly as well.

    Assateague is also known for its wild decedent of wild Spanish ponies that are rounded up yearly to sell yearlings for the fire department. There is a book about it called Misty of Chinkoteague. Thats how I remember

  • @Troy-Echo
    @Troy-Echo Год назад +1

    #15 - I felt sure it was the Assateague area on the eastern coast. Being capitalized weighed towards a proper noun which strengthened that hunch. Your dog could feel your stress levels going up after worrying about eating a pepper and your pooch was trying to cheer you up. I do not consider it cheating to look up if Assateague is a location. Also, I've heard many times that smaller peppers are more spicy than larger ones, and to avoid the seeds.

      I wish he had not counted #15 against himself. Not being from America, knowing that name Assateague wasn't his lack of knowledge in falconry, but geography. Man, I hurt just watching Dan suffer through. I never saw anything past question 22 though. There were 9 more questions.
