As an IT tech and having fixed hundreds of Macs in my day, I would highly suggest paying for some cloud service to keep your stuff stored in the cloud! Then you don’t have to worry about laptops taking a dump! So glad you’re back with more fun adventures! 😊

The armor value is deducted from damage. So the PC with a brigandine (=1 Armor) can deuct 1 for each hit by the wolf, i.e. a roll of 2 equals 1 damage. Reduced hp are regained after a "short rest and a sip of water". Think of hp as the capacity to avoid damage through ducking, parrying, etc. Once hp is reduced to 0, then damage is deducted from STR (strength). Think of damage to strength as injury which takes longer to heal. For each hit at 0hp, the character must also make a STR ablilty check (d20, roll under) to avoid critical damage.
