Ok, I'm n freakin tired bout SC fans bitching bout the refs. Iowa was actually called for more fouls in the game then SC. SC DIDN'T LOSE CAUSE OF THE REFS!!!!! They got out coached n let two Iowa players score 59 points to SC entire teams 73. When your team can only outscore two players by just fourteen you're not winning the game. Let that sink in Clark 41 n Czinano 18 had nearly as much as the whole SC team did THAT'S WHY SC LOST!!!!!!!
How about that fact that SC has held opponents to like 50 ppg this year, and CC scored 41 by herself. It wasn't the refs, it was a once in a generation player taking over the game

HATE to admit it, but this is true....that Clark is just a very good player...
1. they didn’t get out coaches dawn staley is by far the best coach in the whole women’s league let’s be real. 2. iowa definitely did foul more they just weren’t called, since when was wrapping your whole hand around a player allowed. 3. catlin clarke is the only best play on the iowa team take her out and they don’t stand a chance against any team in the league tbh the whole iowa team is mid. but good for catlin for being such a good shooter. and sc fans wouldn’t be bitching it was a far game 💀💀
@@w.w.4040 I so agree with you. Dawn played the game well and is coaching very well. It would have been good to C both LSU and South Carolina play. It did not happen that way, and Kim, is excellent. Her team really exceeded all expectations this year. What a great time we are all living in, as we are able to witness a team like IOWA, that is good, but was tired, excel and LSU, play their hearts out. We are blesssed, now onto the Kentucky Derby and then COLLEGE FOOTBALL ...(UT Alumni c/o95).
The pick and roll killed South Carolina. Caitlin Clark is so smart on the court. Iowa lost 6 games this year, and they won't lose Sunday if Clark gets 41 pts and sets her crew up for lay ups and 3s...you can't overload your defense on Clark and leave the hole wide open...because her team mates know how to slide in there

i watch alot of womens hoop...and this is one of the best i have seen in a minute....Clark put on a show....41....Holy Crap...and much props to the Coach for the game plan....Boston only had 8. I am a diehard UConn fan but i gotta say hats off to Iowa....well done

SC fans are on the Refs back but why not talk about some things the team did that did not help them? There were so many air mailed shots from both 2 and 3. At the end of the 3rd SC were 2/15 from 3. And SC dominated the glass the whole game besides when Iowa got the rebound that counted the most. And a few important FT were missed. So yh the refs might have had some soft calls maybe, but it certainly cannot be the only thing y’all talk about when you just lost by 4, just 2 possessions.
I just don't think they have the right words to say, as they are not used to loosing. SC is very good, but this night, IOWA was just magical.....I keep saying this, they play like an old Lady Vol team. Pat Summitt would have loved Caitlin.

Iowa won this game. They were in control of the pace, held the lead for about 36 minutes, and never trailed by more than one. If you had told me that Clark and Czinano would combine for 59 points out of a total 150 scored by both teams, I would have been optimistic about Iowa’s chances of winning. But if you told me instead that Iowa would shoot only 7-23 on three-pointers and be outrebounded by 49-25, I would have thought it was an easy SC win, because it seemed that shooting well from distance and limiting the rebound margin were the only reasonable way to an Iowa win. In the end, however, it was the brilliance of Caitlin Clark who, despite too many turnovers, scored or assIsted on every one of Iowa’s points in the fourth quarter. Iowa won because the Hawkeyes had Caitlin and South Carolina did not. That does not always lead to a win, but it did in this game.
This was text book example of the referee's managing a game to keep a team (SC) in it.

I knew SC was gonna have trouble with Iowa. SC has no shooters on their team and keeping they're bigs out the paint. Easy strategy against SC. Not undefeated anymore, going home SC 😅😅😅

I am not a fan of either i am from the sec. IMO South Carolina was given so many breaks from the referees so many fouls that was not called.
Iowa tired out South Carolina. It doesn't matter when you have a female shaq when she is slow going up and down the court.

Clark has some James harden in her, she can score and pass but defense ain't her style, did not even attempt to challenge those lay ups.
She needs to avoid the fouls she already had 2. They need her to be on the floor the only way the can win.
Doesn't want to get in foul trouble and cost her team a chance at winning.
she had two fouls early in the game, she can't foul out so, I rather her give up a layup or two to stay on the floor.

They got a HUGE offensive rebound. What a game!!
There is a shirt in Iowa being sold in both Iowa and Wisconsin (where McKenna Warnock is from) that says, "Work like Warnock." That rebound and her amazing defense against Boston were as big as anything else the Hawks did in that game.

South Carolina had chances. They were just awful from the field and could not guard the pick and roll. Iowa didn't beat South Carolina on just 3s, there were many lay ups from the pick and roll. Teams watch Clark too much that they ignore the other Iowa players who have learned how to play with Clark.
Sore losers always blame the refs. The reason SC lost is because they are too slow for a team like Iowa.

One or two early, including an early turnaround. But after that it was amazingly perfect. Her move and shot when Cardoso was just standing there (in the 3rd qtr.) essentially saying, "What are you gonna do now, hot shot??" had me shaking my head. She brought her whole arsenal that night.

Cooke was the star for SC, Boston played small, the other giant for SC played small also. The coach should have put them in zone. Iowa ran the pick and roll all night

To whom it may concern I am speaking on what I seen with my on eyes I think that South Carolina was rob on that game last night a lot of files were not called on iowa that should have been called but they did not miss a one on South Carolina and I personally think that was wrong and could have been racist I'm not saying it were but it could have been and I know it's not possible but if it was my decision that game would be played over with different people in charge of the game this is just my feelings and what I seen for myself. At the end of the game, when it counted, USC fouled Iowa MASSIVELY, and it was not called. The USC player just grabbed the Iowa player and threw her to the ground, right in front of the ref.
Too much nerves on this game. Not a good game at all.

*The refs allowed Iowa to hack and foul Aliyah Boston and when she tried to get physical back she was called for 2 fouls early in the 1st qtr. Boston ended up with 4 fouls and went 2-9 from the field.*
BS.... Iowa actually was called for more fouls 14-13. QUIT blaming refs for the loss.
It wasn't the refs. South Carolina picked a bad game to have an off shooting night. Caitlin Clark had zero respect for Raven Johnson on defense! That "I'm not concerned with you" hand wave was iconic. I look forward to a good game on Sunday.
You could literally call a foul on any play in the paint and Iowa had more fouls. The ref excuse is childish. SC is tall but slow and couldn't figure out the most basic pick and roll. Bad coaching too.
18 Iowa fouls, 20 SC fouls, looks pretty equal. 26 offensive rebounds for SC and even a highly biased SC fan has to admit, that takes a lot of physicality. What beat SC was IOWA's high post game plan (high post is when the "in the paint" offensive player sets up near the foul line) and rolls to the basket when the ball handler has to be picked up by the defensive post player. That's why Czinano was able to score 18 and Clark was able to clear path drive to the basket. I'm just happy that none of the Iowa players were injured when thrown or knocked to the floor. How that clarifies your misunderstandings.
Boston played dirty. Iowa got called for more fouls and the ref excuse is lame.
