Zooming into the Moon's Surface, we witness a Lunar sunrise reflecting off the titanium white landscape. We also see deep, shadowy craters that will soon flood with starlight as the Moon slowly turns in its 27-day orbit.
Smooth, frozen oceans of lava are visible as well, known as Maria. They are ancient remnants of titanic collisions, lurking beneath millions of smaller, newer craters. These Maria are often surrounded by mountain ranges instead of crater walls, lending to the imagination of how massive those impacts must have been.
