Started on fl studio in 2003 Playing with it on my brother or homeboys computer. Crazy thing is I just loved music , never thought about making beats , I just naturally gravitated. Bought my own In 2006 with an M audio keyboard, interface and monitors , played on it a little. Got serious and got the xxl edition in 2008 with an Akai MPK 49. Ended up getting a Juno Di in 2010 and then a Motif XS. Then came 2012 and my first Mac with Logic Pro and I fell in love with that program. Got the fantom FA in 2014 ( my chick got it for me lol ). Only to sell everything and stop producing in 2016. Now comes the Pandemic and I grabbed a Arturia Keylab 49 , new Mac. Fast forward today I’m on the MPC one Plus and I love it. I just felt like telling yall that LOL
This is nice... Now if only FL Studio could make chopping samples easy like it is to chop on the Akai MPC's... I like how on the MPC you just tap the pad as the sample plays and the chops automatically goes to the pads...
If they did that then I would be 100 percent fl studio. I make hip hop and orchestral music with it but I like sampling in maschine for that very feature you speak of. This would be a major Game charger for me
Chords came off stale and generic in imo. I rather learn how to play chords than have a AI 🤖 make lame ones. What if you get into the studio and someone asks you to actually play the chords and you are just sitting there looking 👀 stuck.
I think this is great just to get some quick inspiration. Combine this with something like Scaler2 and EZKeys2 you can definitely make some good melody
What I think, we all should learn some music theory. In the long run it will make use a better producer, musician etc. A mind stretched can never return to the place it was before.
chord generator is going to be a gift and curse....everyone will now have the same access and if you thought music sounding the same was bad now, lol...wait til what it looks like...and then it's going to be so easy to call yourself a beat maker or producer smh
I already own Scaler and Captain Chords which are far more advanced; however, this is a nice addition from Image Line and looks very easy to use to knock up some quick ideas. 👌
get the mpc program. it will take off even better. i went the same route. fl from 3.5 until now. i got logic and wow...then i finally got my mpc about 2 years ago... omg. i stopped using fl completely, i wanted to learn this hardware... times got hard...mines is in a pawn shop right now...(i'm about to get it back ) so i went back to my maschine studio...now i can work that crazy because of what i've learned from mpc. also, i used fl again. i'm working that the same.. i say that to say this... get that mpc software. you will see what i'm saying.
I don't think he switched to FL from MPC... He knows how to use different DAW's & the MPC so he shows us all the new stuff that comes out with the MPC & DAW's...
You should get a trial of FL and determine if you should switch yourself. Nobody knows your needs better than you. You surely didn’t provide enough information for anyone else to know.
I've been saying this for years. FL Studio sample engine is terrible. FL has everything serato has but it's all separate which is really really time consuming
Excellent review ! Fwiw: Hopefully closing the progression tool form won't make you lose your progression in the next beta. There's an undo history, so even if you don't click accept, it should remain stored :)
gotta buy it now (for the stem stuff i Saw idk if tthats new or not. but Idk about that major- Ioninan mode (chord generator.) because C major does't have Ab that would be a borrowed minor 6th from the Parallel C minor. So I don't think that menu shows the right key since. the next progression F= I, Am= ii , vii dim Edim add 4, which is basically suspended, like all the scott storch chord/ dre erra .. C add 9 = V Suspended as well, .. G sus 4 would have been a Secondary Dominant to C Major , V/ v So that again is - Borrowed chords. The voice leading is interesting too. Yes all those chords are in C major , but that vamp you're going to hear it's home tonality in F and very strange voice leading. like that other vamp with Fm , You can really only go to F , so when you wanted to come down you Wanted the borrowed 4th , in minor to go to F major, to resolve to C. becuase 9/10 that's how that Modal mixture is used.
They ruining music with these AI. As a young prosper music artist / new producer this shit make me sad. Who agree? Music is too easy nowadays. The market is blown with normies that click on a button and get a music done for them.
No need to complain…it’s the times…dey change and we evolve so it’s just upgrading the FL we already know ….LETS GOOOOO…I started when it was fruity loops not FL STUDIO in the beginning so this is just the future of what we was doing going to another height….FL made a lot of ppl money
All of this is tools to make us more efficient. If someone who don’t know any type of chords can make something great imagine how much better a musician can do with that same tool?
Exactly, in 5 years nobody will do it anymore because AI will compose in seconds songs, lyrics and vocals in any style you want. AI came to ruin Art as the Internet came to ruin our youth, it's as simple as that. Whoever does not agree with what I say, let him paint the picture as he wants.
I'll say this fl studio since fl 9 hass definitely become the mpc of the daw world I'll give them this all day long buuuuuttttt. Man fl studio will always be trash it just takes to much for it to sound good...meaning you can buy the most expensive bundle version and out the box ...the sound is trash it is what it is ..fl studio only becomes as good as what you put into it meaning you will need to spend at least another 1000 dollars in plugins to get halfway decent sound ...let's just be real .you not bout to sound like metro booming out the box with the most expensive fl bundle...and even after putting some money into with plugins and drum kits...u still got a long way to go with so many effects plugs to get it to the sound you need and want to here ..and then most importantly when you have all this you gotta learn how and when to use it in the mixer which one thing I have always said about fl studio is the onboard mixer is actually really good and the way it looks verse several other mixers even the mpc and I'm a mpc guy through and through..but they mixer lay naw...the fl mixer yeah..they give you a board ...but as I was saying gotta know how to use it and when and what to use on the fx racks...but on.the bolo beat review we hear it all the time ...some really nice beats and ideas but it sounds trash from fl studio why .. That would be cool!
Someone once gave me a script for that and it allowed slicex to work just like a MOC. Try searching around for slicex scripts
I been saying this for years. All these updates but no updates to Fl Slicer or Slicer X🤦🏿♂️
@@CXtheproducer1it’s probably because you can customize them the way you like with scripts.
If they did that then I would be 100 percent fl studio. I make hip hop and orchestral music with it but I like sampling in maschine for that very feature you speak of. This would be a major
Game charger for me
FL always levelin up🔥
It's still in Beta & tbh the Chord Generation is kinda lame, hope they give us customizable keyboard shortcuts
Chords came off stale and generic in imo. I rather learn how to play chords than have a AI 🤖 make lame ones. What if you get into the studio and someone asks you to actually play the chords and you are just sitting there looking 👀 stuck.

Refer back to your video about everything sounds the same. Here's why. 🤷🏾
oh yeah, it's over...i play by ear.. this will make it much easier to get the job done... i can't wait for the update to drop.
They making sure they keep their fan base before they leave over these features, they smart. I use klimper as a chord tool
FL is always doing something special! Daw that rules them all 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Producers. Beat Makers. and now Beat Generators!
I’m logic gang but…… FL always be doing it’s thang 🔥🔥🔥🔥
What I think, we all should learn some music theory. In the long run it will make use a better producer, musician etc. A mind stretched can never return to the place it was before.

I dont like it. It sounds like a video game
Ayy yall that trackpack the real deal got mine the other day a must grab for musicians 🤲🏿💎
ayo, i'm sitting here like... oh, yeah... i need that. i'm getting mines.
I already own Scaler and Captain Chords which are far more advanced; however, this is a nice addition from Image Line and looks very easy to use to knock up some quick ideas. 👌
That is cool features. I had Fl for years and made so so music and most recently I got Logic X and music making took off! To me and my circle.
get the mpc program. it will take off even better. i went the same route. fl from 3.5 until now. i got logic and wow...then i finally got my mpc about 2 years ago... omg. i stopped using fl completely, i wanted to learn this hardware... times got hard...mines is in a pawn shop right now...(i'm about to get it back ) so i went back to my maschine studio...now i can work that crazy because of what i've learned from mpc. also, i used fl again. i'm working that the same.. i say that to say this... get that mpc software. you will see what i'm saying.

Correct 👍🏾
You should get a trial of FL and determine if you should switch yourself. Nobody knows your needs better than you. You surely didn’t provide enough information for anyone else to know.
While you're in the chord progression generator you can slide the chords left or right to shorten or lengthen the chords.
There is a new settting in the piano roll where it keeps your midi keyboard in key(nobodys talking about)
What’s it called
@@melthecre8tor it’s one piano roll click right on music note at the top
It’s called snap incoming MIDI
@@melthecre8tor Scale input or Scale midi input. Cubase has this. When recording in real time the midi notes snap to the scale your in.
FL 21.3 + looplib = feels like cheating
How can I pull that up in windows I don’t have mac
Will FL then lock the notes in (in key) for when you are working on a top melody ?
Now make a Sampler to blow Serato Sample out of the water.
I've been saying this for years. FL Studio sample engine is terrible. FL has everything serato has but it's all separate which is really really time consuming
Niiiccceee!
When will this version be available??
Bolo disrespected Jordan’s name….and he took that personally
Hey man… we are witnessing history! “🐐 James” 👑
Excellent review !
Fwiw: Hopefully closing the progression tool form won't make you lose your progression in the next beta. There's an undo history, so even if you don't click accept, it should remain stored :)
how do you get that spectrogram wave to look like that?
For thos that don't know (like I didn't) it's only available in the fl 21.3 BETA you need to go download the beta version
gotta buy it now (for the stem stuff i Saw idk if tthats new or not.

“Chord “, NOT “Cord”.
and they steal your money by closing the account without telling a reason !
😂who
isn't this in beta right now? so it won't actually be in the latest version as of the date I'm posting this. Had me confused with this upload
FL finally realized AI is no joke. Just another reason to have now.
i just updated and i dont have this option??????????
Idk I thought all those progressions were not it
hey bol where to i get this plugin its not at all in my version of fl studio ive look eveywhere in fl studio and i cant find it
It's not a plugin it's a tool found in the piano roll settings
i have fl studio 21.2.3 cant find update or kepler exo i have kepler tho
Which edition do you have
4:02 😅for what?
how do we get the beta?
Cool
BOLO🎶🎵🎶
I will stick with MPC One and Ableton Live and Reason 12. I’m not sold on FL. Idk 🤷🏾♂️ maybe if they let me try it out I may change my mind.

I dont know if your trolling hard but theres a demo of fl studio
REmember when CUBASE 10 introduced chord track and the circle of fifth back in 2018? I do. FL stay lacking
Yeah but Fl is used more than any DAW remember that
