Thanks for demonstrating the Mantis and explaining how it works and how to avoid false readings. Nice to see Neil and Mrs. ASP play a role in this video series. It’s much more believable when an instructor coach s a novice, rather than an expert walk us through the steps.

I might not have the Mantis (yet) but I'm following along in this series.
Thanks for the encouragement to show up. Don't do the work and you don't reap the rewards.
Neil and John, you've already shaved about a second on my draw to first by your prompting of disciplined dry fire practice.

This is great stuff! Pro-Tip if I may.... Barrel Blok product is a must for dry fire practice, including with the Mantis system. Can rack the gun & snap endlessly & with the chamber plug that extends out the muzzle there is zero doubt your gun is inert while dry firing.... to you &/or anyone around you that's within sight. Makes running the Mantis more effortless! You guys should get them to sponsor you in some form!

Does John agree to train significantly different then live simulation beyond certain efficient exceptions we do when we practice, like wear ppe , not shoot live ammo; manually rack slide every shot?
    I doubt Mantis man...
Not fully drawing the slide for one. Imagine the mental effects of practicing 10,000 partial slide pull vs 2000 full over the relatively small energy cost (getting killed vs damaging muscle tissue that will regenerate stronger if healthy) Also, I hope you guys don’t get sued. “The mantis man told me on the ASP show to over exaggerate my finger on the slide and it blew it clean off!”
    Or
“News Radio Arizona- this just in! 8K resolution security footage reveals that the victim was seen shot mere moments after malfunction occurred. Our defender was seen attempting to rack the slide but, unfortunately, forensics has determined that his/her hand did have enough draw length to get the gun into battery. .”
Professional proposed plan of action (Disclaimer - - this is not legal advice. I am not an attorney.)
    A. Place a disclaimer before all of your videos to the effect, “ these videos are intended for informational use only. They do not necessarily guarantee a lower risk of danger to loss of life or severe bodily harm. We encourage you do your own research into practicing methods that work for you and perform live fire training stress tests “
    B. Seek legal advise for legal questions.
    C. Remove videos that have potential to create conflicts or gaps in the ASP central mission and message
    D. Resolve that sponsors should not be allowed to give training advise without also providing the data that backs their claims in a very clear and true manner to the results of the studies.
    E. Seek counsel of loved ones and brethren.
    F. Take no action until action required. Be willing to accept these risks then.
God bless you all. He is the real solution.

Mantis suggests trainers over exaggerate finger over slide. And suggests trainers to practice only pulling the slide to engage the trigger. You don’t see any issues with this advise ? Ive never been to any of your trainings to know if you teach those things.

You clearly don't understand the difference between dry fire and live fire training. Learn to unhook administrative actions and you'll not have a problem.
