People joked that MK1 Shang was made just to be a boss, now we have Spawn who was explicitly made for being annoying in boss fights thanks to the modulating health boosts.
He is gonna make the bosses life's freaking huge... Made to be a boss unfortunately, so for us players he is USELESS.

Spawn is basically Arkham Asylum Killer Croc from Injustice Gods Among Us. Both of them were the slowest Kharacters in the game when they first released.
So the idea of playing Spawn is to keep him tagged out alive generating the Necroplasm till full and then tag him and use the Necroplasm to reset in order to trigger the health boost constantly. 💡💡💡

I'm honestly glad Spawn isn't a good card. We have many op cards in the game already who can take care of pretty much any battle in the game. This way Spawn will be a card mainly for collectors and die hard fans of him, and the actual good character, who you really wanna get and fuse up, will hopefully be MK1 Kenshi
Yeah man, i totally agree. However Spawn getting a minor buff is probably gonna happen (i hope) since like star said, he is literally a premium gold card. Like i would literally say that Onslaught Fujin has a better passive. I really don't want spawn to be op either, but he really just does need a buff. Right now he is less than miserable..

I played against a boss Kenshi in the Krypt, he looked so cool.
They should’ve just made the Necroplasm work like MK1 Scorpions Fire Vitality passive. You could get the Necroplasm faster by doing Specials and Basic Attacks. He’s a nomad so it works with even more characters instead of just martial artists.
I don't see him as a trash character, honestly, I consider no character as trash or useless. He's just not that good and yea, that's all.
I guess the reason why everyone call him total trash or the worst character in the game simply because we expect so much from him, and when his performance is kinda bad, we just get disappointed so much.

Tormented soul Spawn - Nomad
Spwan Gains Hell Energy overtime
Each time the bar gets full
Spwan replaces himself with a demon rising from hell to fight in his place
Each time this demon comes
Will have random buffs and debuffs on their special attacks
And will have
50% Unblockable attack chance and 50% critical hit chance
Once the bar runs out spawn tags back in stunning the opponent in the process and gain 1.5 bars of power
Spawn also gains 20% damage boost for each bar of power spent
This damage boost can stack up up to 200%
Spawn can counter attacks by decreasing his damage boost by 10% each time he counters the enemy
Synergy.
Spawn saves his teamates saving them from a death blow
By sacrificing one of his demons in their place
The saved teammate gains regen and Shield for 10 seconds
1 save per teamate
If spawn had just the synergy he would be op imagine fighting him as a boss
Well in that case, then he doesn't come close to being in the Normad category.
Because the normad champions (Erron Black & Joker) are iconic and far more superior.
Maybe Netheralm class would be better for him 😂

I think the best use of Spawn is not to use him at all. He is just there for support. Even when we we're shown the boss battle, he was placed at the third spot.
I think even Ronin kitana is better. She’s WAY faster and her passive with damage boost is somehow more useful than the necroplasm. Also power drain and bleed can be really helpful

He’s useless. He was just created to do a huge unblockable passive attack as a boss. He will undoubtedly have 3 bars whenever he tags in as a boss.
I didn’t think the passive was that bad but when his gameplay showed my genuine reaction was “what the hell”💀
he is a clear health support who stays in the background until his bars are full so he can just tag in do his sp1 or 2 and his passive attack and tag out he is no main attacker
looks like a hit and run character, also his equipment gives Toughness and heals a team mate with sp2´
so tag in do sp2 to heal the weakest team member do the passive attack and tag out
His purpose is this: Give him wrath hammer + bloody tomahawk and don’t tag him in until he has 3 bars of necroplasm, then tag him in and you will have X-ray + his passive attack and he takes out the last enemy. Other way hs use him for the incurability on the grapple. Or just use him as eye candy for his sp2 and sp3 on quick tag in / tag out.
Give him his equipment piece and he becomes a healing GOD, it has the same effect Bloody Mary has, and it can get better as you get it to higher fusions

RIP Spawn fans who were begging for him to be added, and he finally did, only the most loyal fans now would bother trying to get him, but anyways it’s obvious that they made him another boss focused character, the whole team gets more hp when he’s inactive, and has an annoying counter that can’t be drained by you, def gonna be more used by ai.

I opened 6 yesterday and 4 today.
I leveled him up but that's it, i didn't even played him once.
Spawn gear needs to be buff him greatly in future.His gear is the only hope i have for now.

I think his specials feel really bad to use because you see so many gun shots but it only hits once, it gives the feelling that you're missing hits, the same happens in his first combo ender.

I like that spawns in the game, but his passive is trash. I get how they were trying to match the character, but nah, he needs better moves and better Passive. me personally, I think his second special move should switch with the passive. I love how he pulls all those guns out that felt like it could be more of a special attack than a passive
every new character they released since fg Liu Kang has been boss oriented on their passives/abilities.

I have to say Spawn is more of a C rated diamond card. If he wasn't a Nomad card I'd knock him down to a D-rated card. I wish his Special 1 wasn't a gun attack since he already has a lot of those as his Fatal Blow, 4th attack and as one of his combo enders. Lul. Also, now that I think of it his passive seems like worse version of Ace of Knaves Joker if we think about it. Lmao

don´t give me a wrong look but mk11 liu kang is literally a braindead unblockeable bastard and people equip him with more unblock chances for basic and special ( who would not ), and feel a bit bullshit to fight him if he turns out to be the toughest of the group
damn i wanted this character so badly but once i saw his passive i didn't ever look back at him again even tho i love his design so much his so cool but way they had to make him weak.
We have incurable gear but I think his special 2 allows 20 secs of incurability which can be helpful in some fights. You still have better options than him but his niche is to help boost your other two characters health and apply incurable for battles that you struggle.
I know in the blackdragon some people figure a way that you don't even need t worry about using incurable but for those who can't do those then having Spawn and making sure he can spam sp2 will be the go to but again those are niche battles that he can be sued for and even then there's still better options if you're a veteran in the game
Yo the worst part of spawn is he is "nomad" ! Not netherrealm or outworld. He is the only hero that's nomad in the game . No synergy on a team.
What? Nomad characters can fit every team. Its like he is part of every class
Nomad means he is outworld, near the realm, martial arts, spec ops so all classes
I think the counterattack is to be used mid opponent attack if the name is true, so it’s more of something to stop your opponent getting the final blow on you and the stun is to let you start a combo on your opponent

If you use spawn with his gear (K7-Leetha) and bloody mary he can become a great healy, use your passive and then special 2 then tag back to your main character.

You know what would redeem him? If they made the counter attack work against special attacks and x-rays depending on the bars generated and expending bars according to the attack countered (with a cool down ofc). :)

When i read his passive on release i was like this is terrible, it requires your team to be dead, the only thing he has going for is shield break special one and incurability on special 2 thats it.

Also you can buy 15 dragon crystals packs to get him. Those are (at least currently) op. Just today i got Spawn, Mk11 Sindel and Kabal plus Lizard Baraka for just 150 crystals and got 18 back immediately from gold resells
What does oblivion do? Also, I've used Spawn. I have him at F1 and his passive actually does a decent amount of damage. It can actually take out an opponent character if charged to the 3rd bar. I personally think he is a decent character. I use his passive as one of my special attacks. The fact that I can use it any time even when my opponent is in the middle of an attack is great. Also when you use his passive, it generates power.
Spawn is good but not that good it kinda depends on who you fight other wise he kinda op
