      I haven't tries the SRM-225 so I can't say for my myself but I can say I really enjoy the antivibe handle on the 525LST! Even over a year later of very regular use its still doing its job and I hardly feel any vibration during use!

      I just did 3 fields with the SRM225. It has ample power for its size and will vibrate the hell out of your hand. In fact my hand with gloves were numb after an hour. But I love the power for the price. And get this... i'm running .105 instead of .095. I am cutting down baby mac nut trees so it has to be the .105's. I have a Husqvarna 128ld that is a hundred times smoother and less vibration. But it is so underpowered after running though 10 tanks that every time I see someone grab one at lowe's I tell them go to home depot and get the srm 225 for the same price LOL. I am so looking at the 525l because no one on my island carries the LS or LST. But I am weighing my options at the moment.

    I really like my 525LST and 525L but darned if I can get either one started without pulling 12-15 times. I know it’s me even though I follow the procedure on the machine. How do you start yours cold? How do you start yours after it sits about 30 minutes since the previous use? I’ve used all kinds of stick equipment but these Husqvarna’s have me baffled. Thanks, great video.

      Honestly I'm really surprised by your trouble. I never have any problem at all getting my 525LST to start, warm or cold.
      For cold start I push the primer bulb just enough for it to fill up and get firm, usually only 4-5 times. Choke and it pops on the first or second pull, turn choke off and it usually starts on the first pull.
      When its warm but it's been sitting for a little bit I will pull the choke out and then push it back in without pulling the start. What that does is engage half choke and opens the throttle a little bit and it usually will fire right up!
      I hope this helps! Good luck!

    Any thoughts on the 525LS vs the 525LST? I know the LST is "Torque", but have you had a chance to use both? I might just buy both. Sometimes you need a level of control around delicate objects or things you don't want to damage. I was wondering if the LST would be good for that? Basically, how does it run on low RPMs?

    • @jonescompanycustoms7208
      @jonescompanycustoms7208  3 года назад +1

      The LS model and LST model are identical except for the gearbox at the head of the unit. The LST model is geared lower for more Torque. I use mine running wide open for a lot of heavy soft growth and at lower throttle for "regular" maintenance type grassy growth and it works great for me at both ends of the spectrum!

      @@jonescompanycustoms7208 have you used the echo 2620 or 2620t (262 or 262x from shindaiwa) and if so how would you say they compare to the 525 or 525lst , would you say it's worth the extra 100 or so dollars to just go with the Husqvarna ? I own echo and Husqvarna chainsaws in 50 60 and 70cc models and they all perform equally... Well the Husqvarnas are about a half a second faster than the echo models when cutting through larger diameter wood other than that and how the echos have more torque in the cut so they will power through without bogging down as drastically as the huskies do and the price difference on each of those was husky 600 vs echo 350 (50cc) 720 husky 515echo (60cc) and 1150 husky vs760 echo (70cc) now while I love all my saws the brass tacks are that the echos performed as well of not better in most cases and shipped with larger bars and chains than the huskies so for the money they were the better purchase for me and now I'm trying to figure out what will give me the best performance for the price in terms of weed eaters I'd also be happy to hear any info or recommendations from other brands as well I'm looking to buy a 25-30cc split shaft professional model and a 30cc or higher solid shaft trimmer so I've got my eye on the echo/shindaiwa 2620t and 3020t vs the Husqvarna 525 and 535 last models please and thank you for your time (I know this was long and run on so if you actually read all of this thank you ) and knowledge on this. @@joehertel8846 hey Joe, thanks for the comment and the sub!
      I have used several shindaiwa and echo trimmers although I can't recall exact model numbers. They have always gotten the job done just as well but for me I always prefer the ergonomics of husqvarna and the antivibe on the 525LST is absolutely worth the extra money compared to the echo srm225 while also being slightly lighter than the echo.
      Echo is definitely priced lower than the comparable Husqvarna models but to me while they will both perform at similar levels, the Husqvarna products are always more comfortable and ergonomic which means a lot when you are using them every day for hours on end!

      @jonescompanycustoms7208  4 года назад

      Thanks for watching!
      I have never used an Echo 230 so I cant tell you from "hands on experience" how they compare.
      I looked on Echo's website to compare stats and I couldn't find a 230 so it may be discontinued. I did find on the Home Depot website that the 230 has a 22.8cc engine which is smaller that the 525LST (25.4cc). I think it's safe to assume the 525LST has more power based on those numbers. The 230 weighs in at 11.2lbs where the lighter 525LST weighs in at 10.3lbs, almost a full pound in weight difference!
      As for the bogging down you mentioned I think it's more likely that my sound quality is not the best and there might not be an accurate representation of how the machine is running because it was definitely not bogging down in this video, the 525 was taking out those weeds like a champ!
      Can you point me to a time stamp in the video so I can see the bogging you're referring to?
