    Do one still need to study all the 49 processes and their ITTOs or some?
    I can see in the new ECO that focus seems to be more on Planning processes.
    Expecting your response

    • @instructingcom
      @instructingcom  Год назад +3

      I still go over the 49 Project Management Processes in the CAPM Exam Prep Seminar course update but at a different level than before. The ITTOs are not included in the new ECO but would still be relative to know at a base level for the exam and for knowledge and application purposes. I would not put as much of an impact on them for the exam.

      There are likely a lot of differences in how we teach the material but the material is likely to be somewhat similar. The exam is based on the Exam Content Outline (ECO) so any good instructor will be teaching based on the ECO.

      Yes, absolutely-you can study for the CAPM exam and start your career in project management with your high school diploma. The CAPM is a great entry point, as it doesn’t require prior project management experience. Focus on understanding the concepts outlined in my CAPM Exam Prep Seminar course and the CAPM Exam Content Outline, and you'll be well on your way. With dedication and preparation, you can build a strong foundation for your project management career. #keepmovingforward

    Is it okay if we show our bachelor of commerce degree for the eligibility instead of a high school diploma?

    • @instructingcom
      @instructingcom  4 месяца назад

      It would be acceptable to use your Bachelor of Commerce degree to fulfill the educational eligibility requirement for the CAPM exam. PMI requires applicants to have at least a high school diploma or an equivalent secondary education degree, so a higher qualification like a bachelor's degree is more than sufficient. We hope to see you in the CAPM Exam Prep Seminar course soon.

    why do you need to keep taking certication or test just to keep working as a project manager?

    • @instructingcom
      @instructingcom  Год назад

      Great question! Each certification is for a different level or application of project management and certifies the individual in the perspective area or level of project management skills. Much like other professions, employers look at the certifications as an asset to the person's skillset - the certification "certifies" that the individual has the necessary knowledge of the profession.

    • @instructingcom
      @instructingcom  Год назад

      Your qualifications up to this point will dictate which certification you should pursue to begin. If you do not yet qualify for the PMP, I recommend starting with the CAPM. As a Technical Team Lead, you have a good start, and the CAPM will give you an excellent knowledge base for the project management principles and foundations. You can also pursue the PSM certification, but I would recommend the CAPM certification first.

    Is there math in this exam?

    • @instructingcom
      @instructingcom  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, there is some math in the CAPM exam, but it’s generally basic and focused on key project management formulas. You can expect questions that involve calculations related to:
      Earned Value Management (EVM): Formulas like Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).
      Critical Path Method (CPM): Calculating the critical path, float, and determining project timelines.
      Three-Point Estimating: Using formulas like PERT (Program Evaluation Review Technique) to estimate project duration or costs based on optimistic, pessimistic, and most likely estimates.
      Communication Channels: A simple formula for calculating the number of communication channels based on the number of stakeholders.
      The math questions are straightforward, and as long as you understand the formulas, you should be able to handle them easily on the exam.
      I recommend my CAPM Power Pack from Instructing.com to best prepare you for the CAPM exam! www.instructing.com/bundles/capm-power-pack
